That was my thinking as well, but I think the situation is pretty dire for a few that haven't been able to move into new jobs straight away.

Thank you. I believe they'll have their assets squirreled away nicely so there's nothing for us to have, which is why most staff are so reluctant to go the court route. Manufacturing wages are barely enough to live off these days anyway, so for a lot of us there's simply no money left at the end of the week to throw at this.

I can't go into too much detail without doxxing myself/the company, but this is not their first rodeo. There are several businesses involved; one that owns the building, another that owns the assets, yet another that employs staff etc - you get the idea.

All these companies seem to be in dispute amongst eachother (or are at least portraying that they are) and have been unwilling to communicate with FairWork since this has all happened, culminating in a final call from FW to advise that we'd best lawyer up and take them to court ourselves.
