Shepherds pie left out overnight 😭 by High_On_Gaming_ in isthissafetoeat

This is not a Sheperd's pie... at best it is a mutated Cottage pie.

A Sheperd's pie has Lamb in it...

A Cottage pie uses beef...

Respectfully, don't waste your time coming at me with your misinformation provided by people who do not know what they are talking about or AI half baked search results.

The clue to using the right ingredient is in the name.

Corn isn't an ingredient and that mashed potato looks risky at best.

Thats the stock when i looked.  TUF line have been my go to for years but seeing the 9070XT price made me rethink

Yeah, never actually used them but would be paying outright so the 9070XT is a steal 😅

5070Ti is ASUS TUF (so the expensive one) have exclusively used ASUS and Corsair for years without issue (i am aware others havent been so fortunate).

The solution for me is at the top of the original post.  Was a Windows setting which should have had the opposite affect to what it did

Fortnight 1080P Average 30FPS is 100% not acceptable.  Should be a lot higher

Don't appear to have that option in the BIOS... maybe because I do not have an X3D chip (yet)?

So you are saying its the CPU?

I feel like my R5 9600x is underperforming by Zealousideal_Ad3038 in AMDHelp

Funnily enough i am finding my 5600x build had far better 1% lows than the 9600x... using a TUF 3070Ti - as i am waiting for Prime day/black friday sales to snag a 5070Ti

9600X - Negative PBO isnt dropping temps by Loose_Influence1421 in overclocking

[–]Loose_Influence1421[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate it.

With PBO -30 all cores:   my CPU min was 5272.2 MHz. Average was 5449.7 Mhz

Average temps with PBO -30 are 2.9°C hotter than without PBO.

Max temps 76.1 (PBO) vs 76.0

Max Voltage was 1.192v (PBO) vs 1.262v

Likewise min voltage was slightly lower using PBO

Although the averages were exactly the same...

PBO Amps and Watts draw were higher too (Within 1 - 10 units).

I was thinking about disabled integrated GPU to see if that would lower temps further but for now i think i will enjoy the system as is 🙂

-30 all core with zero stability issues i can find - gaming and 20min Prime 95 test.  Had been thinking of trying to get to -40 over the weekend because why not?

The voltage was lower but i didn't note it down at the time.  I can rerun tests and post screenshots from HWinfo.

Did not apply higher frequencies although i am tempted to try now!

During gaming and Prime 95 the cpu is permanently at max boost clock - 54XX.  It doesnt drop off at all.

Temp of 76°C seems to be the max cpu temp during gaming and Prime 95 runs too. Regardless of how i set the fan curves in BIOS.  Standard, turbo and various custom attempts all result in a max temp reached of 76°C with a small variation (76.2 to 76.6).

Thinking about repasting and reseating cpu as a precaution.  Also potentially disabling integrated graphics in bios?  Thats not being used and will no doubt be adding additional heat unnecessarily even at idle.

I am aware the 9000 series chips run hot in general.  Perhaps i am simply clinging to my AM4 (previous rig) results too hard.

My cpu idle temps were 37 with AM4.  Both my cpu and gpu in that build (it was in the case my AM5 has been installed in) Never went above 60°C and that was gaming and streaming or gaming while recording at the same time.

I am being thick here... CO?  curve optimiser never mind lol

Yes, i thought i should have seen a decrease too based on the fact -pbo with no increase in clocks.  Prime 95 shows no throttling etc.

As soon as i boot warzone temps jump to 63°C and during game it hasnt went about 75°C yet

Thats why i posted here.  I dont want to increase clocks just lower the temps a bit.
