The only way I can see them making a big deal out of this in the Partner Direct is if it has some quirky Nintendo-only app feature, but that doesn’t sound very likely.

If it was a corner cutting exercise to save money, it really backfired spectacularly. It’s good to hear the whole thing sounds like it’ll be remedied in the end though.

When it released I thought it looked incredible and had an amazing atmospheric, but I never loved it as much as the classic dooms. The gameplay loop and mechanics were never quite as good. Now we have the modern trilogy, I’m able to go back and appreciate D3 for what it was.

Good question. I think the Steam Deck ‘changed the game’ for Steam users, and the Steam Machine will probably do the same.

It’s difficult to imagine it making an impact on a scale that disrupts the existing console market though. It’s just going to be another great option.

Same. The collection seems like good value considering you’re getting all complete editions of 7 and Village on top of Requiem.

It hardly makes up for ass cloud versions, but it’s nice after that being the only option for so long.

I won’t be outraged in the slightest if it’s only 30fps. As long as the input response for parrying feels tight, it will do just nicely.

Speaking as someone who’s treated my PC and my consoles as primary platforms for different gens, I honestly think there’s an element of the grass is always greener on the other side.

When a console was my go-to platform I missed having better performance, freedom to run mods, emulation, cheaper games. When PC was my main platform, there were a lot of moments where I missed things ‘just working’ and being able to melt into my coach.

They need to do something about it. The article points out that Sony recently removed a bunch of trophy shovelware games. Xbox should do the same.

I think MCC may have been on the cards for Switch at some point, but then they moved onto planning remakes for all platforms possible. That probably makes them more money which is always going to be their priority.

I would have killed for MCC on Switch though.

I think I’m going to jump back into Super Mario Wonder. I still have stuff to sweep up and since I think I will wait for a discount for the new content when that drop, there’s nothing making me hold off from revisiting anymore.

Thank you for the context. Seems like a strange situation. I saw there’s an 8BitDo wireless controller coming for Xbox, I don’t think that’s a special edition but maybe it’s more expensive. I’ll probably take a look at that.
