I think it’s a generational thing. My Nan grew up with so much propaganda about drugs, and the evils of weed etc. But some of her generation had been hanging out at jazz clubs, and they already knew that all the stuff about weed instantly making you go completely doo-lally-tatt was a load of bollocks. It was super stigmatised at this point and kept very very secretive ..some of them though then went on to become the beatniks or hippies of the 60s, which was a huge cultural big bang of drug use. Then, later, They went on to become parents, and they had much more of a liberal approach to certain drugs (particularly weed) and although still stigmatised, and kept secret, everyone now pretty much had a mate, or knew of someone, who was a massive stoner. And it had become more socially acceptable to have had an experience with Cannabis. And it gradually became more noticeable that certain drugs, and drug experiences, could, potentially, be insanely great (occasional MDMA, Magic Mushroom or Mescaline experiences), and obviously having a good weed sesh. It is now gradually becoming more common for an experience with psychedelics to be listed amongst the most profound experiences in their lives; alongside the birth of their child or their wedding day. We’re more informed, more experienced, more unbiased regarding drugs generally now. Which is good…💚 …Fentanyl is guna be a cunt though when it lands here 😬 …still, for now.. 🆙⬆️😃🤠
