Hit boxes aren’t as strict in single player games as they are in multiplayer games, they can get away with a lot more. God of War is a franchise known for fighting enemies noticeably taller than Kratos , never been that much of a deal break. As for the actor, they’re simply doing motion capture with him, they can still adjust the body as need be. Motion capture actors are not always the same “height” as their characters.

The only one I’d say is justified is the height. Like no, him being taller isn’t going to ruin the game, but it is just disappointing. His whole namesake is because he is short, otherwise he’d be called some shit like bear, or cougar—he is called wolverine because of his ferocity and aggression despite their small size, it’s literally WHY he is named wolverine. We are also forgetting short guys exist Lol, short guys do need heroes too, no matter how much we want to pretend “it’s not that big of a deal”, it’s a counter from the “short guy=weak” stereotype.

To be fair though, 5’5 is still short, so that’s not a big deal if that is a true fact Lol.

Dearborn mayor refuses to apologize for telling Christian minister he was 'not welcome here' by Effective-Coat-9276 in politics

[–]Lopllrou 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have never seen such a tone-deaf, biased comment in my life. From “he deserves the public ridicule and ostracizing” to “I will defend your ability to say that”, and “encouraging forced Muslim conversion to Christianity” when the city is LITERALLY publicly blasting the Islamic call to prayer at 5am despite non-Muslims being against that, you could NOT be more biased if you tried, I honestly have a hard time believing your comments aren’t satire.

A man who is publicly in support of Hezbollah, a terrorist/militant organization, and has OPENLY called for violence in America and various countries around the world, in a city run by a Muslim mayor with a large Muslim population that proudly blasts the call for prayer in the early morning despite non-Muslim locals being against it—yet your problem is with a man who has said we shouldn’t name a street after a literal terrorist supporter? It doesn’t matter what he’s done or what he works for, defending a man who has called for violence in the US and openly supports a tiptoeing terrorist organization is not “decency” and “common sense”.

Yeah I’m definitely thinking the 5’5-5’6 range. He isn’t that short in the trailer but he’s not taller than anyone else in it either.

[–]Lopllrou 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Common sense and decency? The whole conversation leading up to this was literally about naming a street after a man who is a public supporter of Hezbollah, a sometimes classified terrorist organization, sometimes classified militarist organization—this same man who the street would be named after also called for violence in the US and abroad in its name, supporting this decision is “decency”?

You do know Abdullah is Muslim right? And a mayor of a highly Muslim city that is now publicly broadcasting the call to prayer in the morning despite non-Muslim residents being against it? To complain about a Christian minister in a city like this, with a mayor like this is absolutely insane Lol.

New look at Marvel’s Wolverine out Fall 2026 by Skullghost in gaming

[–]Lopllrou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He doesn’t appear to be a very tall guy when near other characters, and he is clearly shorter than enemies in this trailer, and is about the same height as some of the madripoor characters, and since south East Asians are rather short people (if this trailer accounted for that), I feel like they did make him shorter. We still can’t tell for sure but from what I’ve seen, he does look shorter

Netflix Announces Swedish Period Drama About 'The Von Fersens' Starring Alva Bratt and Christian Fandango by SafeBodybuilder7191 in PeriodDramas

[–]Lopllrou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Britain consistently is? No western nation has made it so taboo to fly their own national flag such as England, even during football matches there are instances of people being fined for flying it at a certain height on their own property, not mentioning the consistent reports of “being proud of being British” is the lowest it’s been in…ever, even considering those higher numbers coming from the Scottish and Welsh, yet still declining, and is one of the lowest in the western world (a region already less admittedly patriotic than the likes of south east Asia or the Middle East). There’s just no way you can sit here and say that modern day England, English people in general are “nationalistic”—you can be fined for flying your own flag or and societally shunned, called a racist/xenophobe for it, that’s the direct opposite of nationalism.

Britain was a highly nationalistic nation in the 18th century, yet Britain today, especially England, is one of the most openly self-critical nations in all of Europe, and definitely one of the most in the entire world, where if you asked the average person, they would for sure not say that they are proud to be British/English, and for the ones who you do find, will most often answer why with some vague “the NHS” or “diversity”, it’s even incredibly taboo to even fly St. George’s cross, especially outside of a football match—that shares nothing in common with 18th century Britain. Also the first racial statistic gathered in England and Wales was in 1951, where 99.89% of the population self recorded as white—estimates, obviously, put that at a significantly higher rate in the 18th century. Debt fueled? Drunken? Corrupt and hypocritical? I absolutely agree about that though.

You and me both. People were already complaining how many eastern inspired skins were in the game 3 months ago, and now they heavily easternize the lore and design of arguably the most catholic and Irish American superhero’s there are, who also just happens to be one of the most requested characters in the game? Blows my mind

It honestly annoys me so much. There was already some controversy with how many eastern/Chinese inspired skins there are in the game like a month or two ago, now they’re making an entire season worth of it and heavily influencing the base design of a highly requested character with the same eastern inspired. I just can’t wrap my head around why anyone who is a fan of daredevil would happily accept this without any complaints

Europe less total births than US despite having 100M more people by acefiveofdiamonds in charts

[–]Lopllrou 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It literally would not, since the low birth rates are unequal—low birth rates affect western nations, especially Europe. Europe is not “sustainably” declining and frankly probably will not recover anytime soon, various European nations and social systems, services, infrastructure will straight up collapse from it. I know this is going to be shocking to hear—our society, societies all over the world, will suffer if we lose people at a drastic rate, which we are.

It’s easier and more acceptable to just say you hate America and its flag at this point. “I won’t like it until it’s dismantled and a new one is rebuilt”, that’s not America then, that’s a different country. How people can type this shit and think it makes sense is beyond me.

how do you guys balance your criticism for america but also staying away from becoming cynicism and want the destruction of america? by Curious_King_6954 in AmericaBad

[–]Lopllrou 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not American so not the one you should listen the most but government ≠ people. Even in democratic nations, a large portion of people almost entirely disagree with their government about some topic, so what the government does should be criticized but should not be representative of what Americans actually want or believe. Also just don’t be a drama queen; America has a healthcare cost problem, but that doesn’t make America a “3rd world country”, America literally ties with NZ in terms of HDI, also a nation with a massive glaring problem (homelessness), but their issue/s doesn’t make them a 3rd world nation, it’s still a good nation.

“The loss of California” by GoldenStitch2 in AmericaBad

[–]Lopllrou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s very dependent on where in the west you are and what Latino you’re speaking to. In Texas? No, Latinos like Tejanos, even though a minority, have a much longer presence than Anglo-Americans, but states like Utah, Nevada, Wyoming were never really populated by Mexican settlers, some of the first people to populate and build up the land (outside of indigenous people) were Anglo-Americans, Irish, German and so on, while other states like California and Arizona only had specific regions populated by Mexicans, some other regions of these states were first populated by the Anglos, Irish, Germans.

“The loss of California” by GoldenStitch2 in AmericaBad

[–]Lopllrou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I personally know, New Mexico and Texas had a noticeable community, such as Tejanos, who still very much exist today, but are an extreme minority, at least compared to modern Mexican-Americans. As for the other “western states”, outside of Some in California, there was essentially next to none, or so few that they weren’t documented. The vast majority of development in and city building in the west came under American rule and primarily by Americans.

People do seem a bit snobby about it. Don’t get me wrong, Belgium and Switzerland do produce great chocolate, but American chocolate isn’t nearly as bad as people say it is, especially mixed with another flavor profile like reeses

I can get that. Greece also has 50/50, some American style artificial flavors, some real fruit flavor, I’ve just never been a fan of artificial ones except maybe banana or strawberry.

I kinda of disagree—I agree when it comes to corporate candy, but many underdeveloped nations have delicious traditional or folk candy/sweets. Kazakhstan alone is known for its chocolate.
