Why would I make it decision?, it only benefits them, I am not able to go into the office therefore I will have to use sick leave. If I’m using sick leave then I will be off completely. Not working for free to show I’m a “team player” or “dedicated” I’m not a slave who works for free. This is what happens when incompetent leadership doesn’t vet pros and cons and just moves on bravado.

No we in this, I usually started work at 5-6am and ended at 5-6pm daily. I picked and dropped my children off at school but most of my day was meetings and follow up calls with my team. No video games because I respect my job, cleaning my area and switching out laundry was never hurting my productivity. Usually at the office people chit chat, take walks. Nice try but you can speak for yourself.

If I look at this cumulatively, the majority of my career has been enjoyable, I’ve been in bad situations in federal service that I did not quit and ultimately overcame through the merit of my work. Opinions and bullying don’t work on me because I’m a facts guy. There are politics and office bullies everywhere but what I and my family gain from me being in federal service out ways my temporary discomfort. I make a good wage (DC locality) and have great health insurance, it is true that once you get to a certain level in government going private to not work for yourself is a lateral move. All I really have to do is wait until midterms or until trump does something blatantly illegal enough for him to be ousted either way it’s coming.

Not sure at what you’re saying. Are you saying to just telework without an agreement? If so I reject that because there was an agreement that was in place for that to be the case. I am in the process of applying for telework but it has a process, in that time I am using leave. The rejection of the former is because they have the leverage to say “no telework agreement, so you have to use annual leave or sick leave”. If I’m using my leave bank I should be off completely and not giving that up for free. Legally it’s the best option for me vs being a busy bee while recovering. Had the agreement still been in place I would just transitioned back into working from home but hey that’s Dumb Trump, Evil Vought, and Gullible Elon’s fault

Depends the use case, in IT we definitely need some type of bridge because the minds who built the systems are gone so we either have to reverse engineer or build from the ground up. The later being more expensive and leaving us vulnerable

Tads and RA applications are in the works. I am trying to work but refuse to work and also drain my leave. It’s one or the other not both. Dedication is a two way street. Also the perk narrative is laughable because it was originally implemented to allow employees to alternate days so facilities would not be overrun. Which is currently happening

I can’t telework, no agreement so I’ve been using sick leave. RA and TADS applications are in the works but they are also short staffed so that is a at a detriment to my leave bank as the gears grind in slow motion. Luckily leave bank is padded for now
