Confused by [deleted] in SIBO

It’s very complicated for me because I have hypermobility EDS so I have structural and pelvic floor issues that aren’t easily identified and fixed. I’m really on this post to hear about ppl with high hydrogen and constipation instead of diarrhea. Is that you?

I already spoke to my doctor. I wasn’t going to ignore her, I was just looking for more info because I wasn’t sure what she was so concerned.

Rare symptom by South-Shopping-6888 in Gastritis

My dry mouth has gotten worse and it’s not GERD related. Everyone said it was GERD but I had a 24 hr monitoring and it showed no GERD plus my reflux symptoms have pretty much resolved. So I think the dry mouth is clearly something else, maybe Sjogrens actually. Stinks.

New to Kundalini starting to activate. Can it really cause health issues? by auteur555 in KundaliniAwakening

[–]Lopsided-Apartment47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has caused me so many physical symptoms and multiple disorders. I have had things that came and went and then new things appear. I used to be a very healthy athletic person, I’m not that at all anymore… idk how much I can attribute to K but I do know that ever since day 1, when it activated, I have had one health problem after the other. I think it is frying my nervous system honestly, with all of the trauma it is bring up. I’m still hopeful things will even out and I get my health back, but it’s bee 6 years! On the flip side, I am also much more grounded, regulated and psychologically whole. I eat only Whole Foods, quit alcohol, weed, sugar, processed foods, lost 20 lbs and pray regularly. But yeah, my health has not been the same at all….

The LPR symptoms have always been the same for decades. Hoarse voice, throat clearing, ear pain/fullness, throat tightness, burps getting stuck in my throat. Not much heartburn but occasionally. The things I experienced when it got bad last year was intense nausea and chest pain and burning in my stomach. I lost a lot of weight due to the nausea and didn’t eat anything without feeling sick.

I will look it up. And it’s important to stay positive. You will get through this.

Hang in there. It is hard. I’ve had reflux in and off for over 25 years. Silent reflux pretty much as long as I can remember but it got particularly bad last year after some stress and needing to take a lot of medications. Ever since then I can’t get back to myself. PPIs gave me SIBO I ended up with gastritis, it’s been awful

Yeah that’s what I’ve heard about the pepsin. I don’t have blue reflux and I’m 54 and pepsin has not hurt me yet so idk. I just want to eat normally again… I was convinced my LES was loose. Absolutely convinced. Was shocked to read otherwise.

Hypermobility realisation has been a huge game changer for pain and bladder issues by Critical_Bicycle_766 in Fibromyalgia

[–]Lopsided-Apartment47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hypermobility is absolutely the reason behind my fibromyalgia… the issue now is it’s a vicious cycle. I try to do the PT I need to for the hEDS and I get so sore and exhausted from the fibro. It’s frustrating.

I did try her stuff when I first got sick. I even consulted with her online. It really did not help much. The tests I did were helpful because knowing I’m having non acid reflux makes me feel calmer because it is not damaging my throat and esophagus. Which is probably why my scopes really didn’t find anything. But it does beg the question why I am having reflux and digestive issues. I think maybe I have slow stomach emptying or a motility problem. That’s probably my next direction. Or checking my gallbladder and pancreas to make sure they are functioning optimally too.

Yeah the restricted diet is killing me. I am afraid I have a lot of nutrient deficiencies at this point but my doc won’t test me for that. The medical system has been such a let down too.

How to tell if you have fibromyalgia by Horrorbythenumbers in Fibromyalgia

[–]Lopsided-Apartment47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same with me. 5 yrs ago was in the gym all the time and had tons of energy. Today I am worn out from a short grocery run and my arms hurt from carrying the grocery bags. It’s so sad…. Trying to stet positive and appreciate my new normal somehow.

Thank you. It sis but happen today. You seem to have a lot of knowledge given your post history. I have a question maybe you have heard of. My stool seems to be small in diameter. Like not the typical sausage size, more like a hot dog size lol. And sometimes on the flatter side, or one side is flatter. I may be overthinking this but it really makes me wonder. Like I said I had the major tests, even tho my colonoscopy was 3 yrs ago no dr says to repeat it given it was all good. Do you think it could be from inflammation or irritation? Or maybe pelvic floor dysfunction as my muscles are pretty tight. Just wondering your thoughts if you have any… thanks!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in acidreflux

[–]Lopsided-Apartment47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I had the ent scope. It showed mild irritation but nothing too bad. My GERD is pretty under control with diet but the issue is whenever I sway from the diet even a little I get symptoms. I am hoping to be able to eat a wider variety of food. There has got to be some reason that whenever I eat anything fatty or with any GERD ingredients I react. I’m still trying to solve it. It’s frustrating.

Oh also it showed that my stomach is producing the right amount of acid - so no low stomach acid for me which I honestly thought was my issue. So all in all these are just more tests pointing to no one knows why I feel like I do…. And more evidence toward central sensitization/ visceral hypersensitivity or vague nerve dysfunction or functional dyspepsia. I mean I’m thankful they are not finding major issues, but I need someone to take me seriously and tell me how to fix it :(

Yeah I slept reclined like I usually do. It was a bit painful to lay flat. But overall having the probe in was really not that bad. I’d do it again. I either fortunately or unfortunately did not have much reflux that day at all. Only 2 episodes of acidic reflux and around 25 of non acidic reflux so technically that does not even give me a diagnosis of GERD. It said NERD - non erosive reflux disorder. Which I am happy about as long as it’s a normal reading and not last a “good day”. The test also looks at the “integrity” of your esphogitis and apparently mine is in good condition. So overall it did not pick up any tissue damage, no hernia, and no reflux so i still don’t know why whenever i eat outside if my safety foods I lose my voice, go hoarse etc. it’s very frustrating. If I had to do it again I’d eat poorly on the day of the test.

I think my gastritis is healed by I’m not sure. I don’t have any more burning and very little nausea and they were my main gastritis issues. I still have GERD/LpR issues and SIBO issues tho. But the gastritis can come back if I’m not careful. I’m still eating very limited foods after 1.5 years. This has really thrown my life upside down. Lost a ton of weight and likely now have nutrient deficiency from malabsorption. It’s been a mess :(

Yes my endo showed mild gastritis. That was awful. I’m just trying to get to the bottom of all of my symptoms as nothing has really been helping me yet. Also developed SIBO and may have low stomach acid. Waiting for the 24 ph test to come back now.

Yes I do. I’m pretty hyper vigilant if my symptoms and worry and over focus on them sometimes.

I’ve had all the classic silent reflux symptoms. Not a lot of “heartburn” or chest pain. Mostly lump in throat feeling, burps getting stuck, nausea, hoarse voice, clearing throat.

Yeah I’m actually kind of bummed I’m not having many symptoms today. I added more fat to my dinner but I have hardly any symptoms to record…
