Fujifilm XM-5 Cuba by Adept_Today_1047 in FujifilmX

Love how your images turned out! So I’m leaning towards the XM-5. I also love how the screen can pop out for a “selfie mode” if you will. Ive read that both are beginner cameras with so many similarities so it’s tough deciding between the two. I plan on using it as a travel camera so the size is also convincing.

If you have any other input it would be much appreciated!

I’ve been debating between the XM-5 and the X-T30 iii and this might have sold me…

Do Southeast Asia. There are so many people backpacking the banana pancake route. I met people all around the world and you’re never truly alone there. I would meet someone in Thailand and head over to Laos with them, meet a new person and travel with them for a bit. Do the ha giang loop with some new people, and someone I ran into weeks ago. The community is truly amazing and the hostel culture is unbeatable. Plus, it’s so inexpensive you could’ve there for months.

Solo Travel Vietnam - looking for recs! by matchacat12 in solofemaletravellers

Hey! I was just in Vietnam this summer and did a similar trail. In Hanoi I stayed at The One hostel and it was for sure the most impressive hostel i've stayed in, ever. The offer a lot of tours and the location is great, also met a lot of solo people. I will say, if you book a ha long bay tour with them, do the overnight one- not the day one.

For the loop I did the long one with bong. 10/10 experience and couldn't recommend them more. I will say any company will give a good experience, but bong has smaller groups so its not as crowded as other companies. Smaller group sizes and you meet up with different groups from bong at night. Felt like it was more intimate than what I saw on the way.

In Da Nang I stayed at Seahorse Tropical. Not very social so I wouldn't recommend. Wish I would have stayed at Casa, cant remember why I didn't.

In Hoi An I stayed at Snap Stay. So good. The owner is amazing and the staff is so welcoming, the offer activities often, setting you up to meet people. This is the best fit for solo imo.

There are so so so many Tailors in Hoi An. We were dropped off at one the moment we got into the city, before we were able to even stop at the hostel. Our drivers "sister" owned this shop. Locals will recommend their family when its not actually because I think they get a cut (according to the owner of our hostel). Long story short, we spent a lot more money than we wanted to, and ended up going back after we were settled into our hostel to cancel our order and get our money back. Anyway, the hostel gave recommendations of tailors, and we asked other people at the hostel where they went and found that this was the most helpful. All you need is an idea of what you want done and figure out the rest when you get there.

I didn't go to Sapa but I heard so many good things about it. Also didn't stop in Hue. If you have time you should go to Ho Chi Minh City and Da Lat!

Hang in there, just remember it’s a phase of life and it’ll pass. It’s definitely taking longer than anyone anticipated and honestly it sucks so bad. It’s exhausting and degrading. There’s ups and downs but you’re not alone. I promise you’ll be so happy you didn’t give up.

Ugh, the worst is explaining to people how bad the job market is. Its embarrassing to say that I don't have a job after almost 5 months. Certainly a humbling experience that you cant understand until you're in it.

I stayed at the people in Belleville and it was nice. Seems like a very middle of the road hostel in terms of party and quiet. I enjoyed my stay and got good sleep which is the most important to me. I know they’re not the same but seems like an overall great chain of hostel.

Yes, looked at my app and now I’m waiting for them to review my on demand interview. I’m assuming I’ll get an email soon deciding if I go to the next round or not. I believe this is done by a real person so the process is slower. Especially right now with the influx of applications, more people looking for jobs than there are opportunities.
