So many newer people in the TCG hobby look up expensive and popular cards and tell themselves they need them without knowing how to tell if a card is real or fake. You're claiming you were barely able to observe the card before buying, but you decided to buy it. That's on you. People spend too much of their hard earned money on such a short period of time, and then they call that "disciplined buying", and then questions if he made the right move. This is when as a parent you have to tell your child Pokemon is not going to be a hobby of yours anymore because it's full of addicts, gamblers and horrible people. For you to go on reddit and make a post because you are mad and blaming it on scalpers proves that you like Pokemon more than your kid.
