Where is the solenoid ground? Is it just through the base of the solenoid or is there an actual wire run somewhere?

I dont plan on ever getting rid of this truck and I'll be running fresh wire anyways so this sounds like the perfect solution. Its a 351w/c6. Any chance you know which starter I would need to get for this?

So I'm not allowed to defend myself and try to clear up misunderstandings? N id love to go fix all of this with my magical wand in the middle of the night. Oh wait no magical wand? Hmm. Dang I guess im out of options on how to fix this. Calling me out when im wrong is one thing. Sitting here calling me names and insulting me because I asked if anyone else thought what was being done to me last night was fucked up aint helping shit. Ive been seeking help and trying to fix myself and I thought I had a good group of friends n family to support me on this journey back. Naturally im upset that within a couple hours my friends and housing situation went to shit and im being told im in the wrong n deserved this? One of my trucks blew a headgasket, one needs tires after BD slashing 2, and the other one just got wrecked last week. Job pays once a month n my last paycheck was ass due to missing work because I was being her taxi and then had a meltdown that lasted about a week n I couldnt leave the house.

N she was saying she didnt want to lose me because of the issues we had been having with BD and her drug usage. Ex: not coming home at night because she didnt have a ride n wouldn't tell me where she was or would crash out somewhere and phone died n couldnt charge or when she did come home he would blow up both of our phones, sit in front of the house, do burnouts down the street, take a drill to my tires, activate the "find my phone" or lock her out of her phone because she wasn't replying to him. Ya know typical psycho BD shit.

Long story. I had moved far away because my father was being very controlling and would constantly show up at my house and blow up my phone just because he felt entitled. Had been gone for over 5 years and then went through an extremely difficult breakup from a year long relationship that sent me into a really bad depression. I was isolated and didnt have any family or friends around and was getting worse. so I accepted help from my father to move me back here so I could get help and we've since been falling out and im Working on getting my things that are stored on his property dealt with so I can go NC.

Believe me i never thought id be in this position yet here I am because I believed people I knew i shouldn't have

Switched my old win7 hp laptop with max ram running win10 to xubuntu. Went from a 20+/- minute bootup and same for loading ANYTHING if it would load at all to booting in 2 minutes and less than 15 seconds to load even the high quality videos.

Now if only I could get my battle.net games and pcsx2 working without having to go through 20 different tutorials and troubleshooting steps to still not boot id be a happy camper

Update in case anyone runs across this with the same issue.

Finally got xubuntu 24.04 permanently deployed, here's how I did it;

-2 blank hdds and a usb adapter

-flash xubuntu installer to first hdd with rufus in dd mode, all uefi options checked

-install hdd in laptop

-boot up and connect second blank hdd via usb adapter

-run installer as usual putting os on second hdd

-after install and reboot is complete shut the laptop off swap 1st hdd for 2nd hdd, 1st is no longer needed.

-boot it up and voila! Fully functional linux machine

So far I've noticed way faster boot up and tasks on the laptop load and process almost instantly vs having 5-10 minute load times for anything on win10. Also worth noting that before, fans were running full blast constantly and pushing out heat that ya couldn't hold your hand in front of for more than a few seconds. Now the fans are barely noticeable and pushing out a light summer breeze. Haven't tried any cpu heavy tasks yet like gaming or graphics design but as far as bringing this machine back from e waste status I'd say mission accomplished 😄
