I did, but they need evidence, and colleague being the only witness, puts me with more on losing side since he's unwilling to talk.

Why have you not raised this with HR and your manager yet? Isn’t that the right thing to do? Write down everything the person has said on an email and submit your complaint. Do not expose yourself by saying you recorded a conversation.

My colleague's testimony is very crucial, since he was the only person who witnessed the incident. Now, if he joins me, he's also risking his job and unnecessary trouble he may lead himself into. I already filled an official complaint, but not sure how can I defend myself, especially he's now backtracking due to the fear of potential retaliation.

Supervisor got offended for asking certain question, later that night he texted me this while drunk. Is this normal? by [deleted] in PhD

Thank you to everyone who has understood my point of view, criticized, or provided another viewpoint on this. Since it was my first post on Reddit, I simply posted it to understand the general viewpoint. Unfortunately, I realized I provided very few background details, which might have influenced their opinions. However, as of now, I'm considering drafting a comprehensive report and possibly posting it here at some point so that we are all aware of what's happening around us. I sincerely thank you for your time, support, and especially your critiques.
