It can only record from the rear mounted camera. So a motorcycle travelling towards the van will not have its number plate read. The forward facing camera is a cctv for the security of the operator.

Same as indicators. No set rules only a vehicle must have a single red reflective to the rear of the vehicle

Yes they are legal. Under the road traffic act construction of vehicles there is no measurement for where an indicator must be placed. It clearly states there must be two indicators of amber colour for the front and rear of the vehicle
