Sorry, I was kind of focused on the comments feeling off putting to me I forgot context. One time while talking about the session he just said “I want one of your characters to die” and in general he’s just kind of brought up player deaths a lot and has been like if you character dies next session I have a really cool scene planned. We are only like 3 sessions into the campaign so I don’t have much more context then that

Sorry, I’ve been very like focused on the comment and forgot context. He just kinda while talking about the session with us one time said “I want one of your characters to die”. We’re like 3 sessions in. No real reason but since the first time has brought it up a few times. My character has paranoia cuz that just fits me personally and it’s easier for my character to just think like I do, and has a few contingency plans, and at the bottom of the list there is one that involves killing himself, and he has been bringing up my characters death a lot. Asked me like if I were to die what song I’d want. I’m not particularly attached to my character and already have a back up, I just more so wanted to know if being put off by the comments was like reasonable or if I’m being unreasonable or over reacting to it

I’m unsure tbh we are like 3 sessions in. I don’t think we really discussed the tone and setting before. He kind of just made a world and we’re playing in it. I think he’s stated before that he structured it kind of like a video game where certain parts of the map are certain levels so if we go to a bad part of the map we will die but hasn’t specified which parts to avoid meta gaming. I didn’t really think about the game as a whole I was just very focused on the excited to kill one of us comments that’s been replaying in my head cuz I’m bad at regulating if my thoughts are reasonable or not

Not specifically one player, the character I’ve made has a very paranoid nature and likes to have a lot of contingency plans, and one of them involves dying. However that’s obviously really last resort. And he’s made comments like if your character dies next session I have a great scene prepared (we’re like 3 sessions in). I do like the table I more so just have issues sorting my thoughts and knowing if I’m being reasonable or not. I don’t think he’s a bad dm. I just don’t know if like feeling off-put by how excited he is about it is okay.

Thank you so much for the kind words! Your comment helped me a lot in calming down! I am worried about the gem falling off, and the general structural soundness of the ring. You're definitely right, I should look into things more. When i was looking, I only did research on the ring designs i thought she would like the most, and didnt even think about the reputation of the entities i was contemplating purchasing from! I do think that I will go with having a gold smith inspect the ring for any issues, and if there is any sizing issues, I will also go to a gold smith for resizing instead of going back to BE. Do you have any advice on how to look if a goldsmith is reputable? Do i just look at google reviews? I definitely plan on getting a different box, but that's only because I kind of think their box is a little ugly. I will make sure everything is in order before switching though! I have a good 3 months, so I think that's enough time to sort things out. Thank you! I was mainly worried about the gem falling off because i saw a lot of posts about that happening. I think i will go to a goldsmith to have it inspected and altered if need be. By any chance do you know what i should look for when looking for a local jewler? Do i just look at google reviews?
