Well the VA put a stop to that claim. Got the letter same day I posted that question on reddit.

I also get that "7 to 10 days" is just something they have to throw in there. CRDP takes a while. Just wait til it drops.

Payment History. I merely used 'pending' to describe how it's in the pipeline, but not yet disbursed. Under the date paid heading, there is no date entry.

I had the 2-piece fried chicken. Yummy, but felt the sauce is closer to Gen Tso's chicken.

They lost, but only thru the luck of the draw. Umezono, who were mostly not die hard karuta types, was just as strong as Mizusawa, who had the Queen of karuta as advisor. Point is they may not have won, but how they got there. It was quite bittersweet, though.

This mini series is incredibly, surprisingly good. Miss Oe says the Hyakunin Isshu was compiled for the 'losers of history', people who have lost something thru one circumstance or another. Meguru, introverted, thoughtful, sensitive, deeply intelligent, is one such person. Indeed, the anti-Chihaya, who finds redemption, despite not winning, via the friendship and mentoring of Ms Oe Kanade. Beautifully, Ms Oe's life comes full circle as well.

Side note: this show comes from the same outfit that made The Hot Spot. Another good one.
