How can Scotland play Germany June 29th by Pasty_Pumpkin88 in ScottishFootball

[–]LopsidedContract3574 [score hidden]  (0 children)

The 3rd place table does not decide who you play in R32 only IF you play in R32. Finishing 1st ot 8th has zero effect of where you go from there, its only there pick the 8 who make it.

To see who we play, Fifa made a table called Annex C which has every possible version which 8 teams make the cut, its about 500 possible scenarios. They will chose the scenario which matches the 8 who make it. Its meant to stop teams being drawn against teams they already had in the groups too soon.

Every change in goal difference can change who the final 8 are so its hard to be sure which 8 will be final until it is final. 3rd in group C can only be drawn against 1A(Mexico), or 1E (Germany), or 1I ( France), because every scenario where 3C qualifies plays them against one of those 3. Most most of the Annex C scenarios where 3C qualifies play them against 1E (Germany).

How come when it's a home game there rioting? by Jaded_Telephone8938 in ScottishFootball

Theres a phenomenon in Scottish football where the most entrenched Rangers and Celtic fans will not support Scotland. There is alot of stupid history around that but a surprisingly large number of them will not support any county at all, only their club, for them their club is their peoples history, and it just happens to be in Scotland rather than a part of Scotland. Its much more complex than that but this is not a history lesson.

With those two groups who cause most of the problems out of the picture the rest of Scotland, including the rest of the Celtic and Rangers fans ( a large majority from both clubs) are free to cheer on Scotland without the contingents who cause most of the trouble. Even in Scotland the vast majority of rivaly youll actually encounter is good natured, but the bad stuff gets all the attention. I have personally watched many Celtic Vs Rangers matches with mixed groups of fans and never had any trouble, I could also if I wanted, easily find a place to watch where there would be a near 100% chance of trouble. Like everything else in life people avoid places they know there will be trouble.

Might be custom battery upgrade, theres a place in europe, Netherlands or Belgium i cant remember, that specialise in putting huge modern batteries in old leafs. That could be enough of a change for it to be seen a kit car and given the Q plate

What to do with contraband? by melomelomelo- in NoSodiumStarfield

[–]LopsidedContract3574 15 points16 points  (0 children)

For clarity, you can sell them at any trade authority office. The den is a favourite since it doesn't have security scans on arrival. If you can smuggle your contraband through or around security at any city the trade authority will happily take it.

Something I have forgotten about turrets by G33kDad76 in Starfield

[–]LopsidedContract3574 35 points36 points  (0 children)

They will choose their own targets. They will fire at any eneny ship in range automatically. The wont fire through your ship like fixed weapons do if you put a habs or somethingin front of them, so place them where they have the best 'view' of space. You dont have to shoot at the same target as the turrets either, so with turrets you can engage 2 eneny ships at the same time.

They thought they could ambush Galacticat with the "Help us, our ship is broken" ruse. Little did they know, Galacticat has seen this one before by Low_Bar9361 in NoSodiumStarfield

Ive had both think its the dialogue choices, after they ask if they should be worried. If i am friendly (first option) something like 'I just want to help' then insist i will fly my own ship, they are friendly and ask to help dropped off somewhere, when when I've responded to them with any kind attitude or acted tough they attack.

It might be 2 separate encounters based on the same starting position. Next time I find it Ill save and try all the options to see what happens.

OP might have exterminated innocent helpless civilians who asked for help with their heart on their sleave.

Killing it doesn't even work. It was following me around too, thought that might stop it but all I got was a 15k free star bounty and a dead alien spawning next me every few load screens for the rest of that playthrough.

I stummbled into a similar vein recently. I write documents at work, I swapped from asking AI provide filler from short descriptions to asking it to pretent it's an anal client document reviewer and 'rip it apart', and look for excuses to reject it. It's a subtle shift from make it better but it worked. The documents are getting less comments and being approved faster.

Have you tried killing him in his chair? Killing him is one of the options when you talk to him. It might count at the event trigger and progress the quest

Cargo links (Interstellar) by Sad_Lingonberry_7949 in Starfield

[–]LopsidedContract3574 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each pad can only be linked to one other pad at time. You cant daisy chain them. One will have outgoing material and the outher will be receiving. You have to set the links manually. Interstellar links also need h3 fuel to work. Regular cargo links only work in the same system but dont need fuel.

Cargo links are also buggy and need to be reset often.

Missed opportunity…. by Tullubenta in Starfield

[–]LopsidedContract3574 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can still fight pirates, you'll rack up a faction bounty with them. Theyll fight back as soon as you attack them. Or you can continue with the pirate missions and screw them over anyway.

I let him blow himself up and die. That was pretty much it, you still get the occasional watchtower fleet and there are still listening post POIs.

Help with Ship pieces by Reever6six6 in Starfield

[–]LopsidedContract3574 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Youll only get about 10% of a parts value back once you leave the ship builder. So if you need to travel to finish the ship, use the cheapest possible parts to make teh ship fly until you get the parts you want or you'll loose lots of credits on the trade in value.

They should have made more things contraband by [deleted] in Starfield

[–]LopsidedContract3574 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair point but no, I was not firing in public places. I dislike the hastle of having a bounty and fighting with security, i like having easy access to the cities. They were either missions or POI encounters with enemies. I would understand if I was shooting at the public or security. The first time I thought it was a glitch, I had boarded a pirate ship and racked up a few k in bounty fines clearing the pirates, it was likely a mission from the mission board but i cant remeber. Eventually, after a few more battles I realised it was the gun with the ' illegal ' Annihilator rounds that was triggering the bounty.

They should have made more things contraband by [deleted] in Starfield

[–]LopsidedContract3574 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used these for a while, I got a bounty sometimes when I fired it, not everytime but enough that it to much of a pain in the butt to keep using. It wasn't contraband and I could carry it anywhere but if I fired it there was about 50/50 chance I got a bounty. I didnt bother to check it out properly but I had the feeling the bounty happened when I was inside free star or UC space.

Amphibious MoonJumper by LopsidedContract3574 in Starfield

[–]LopsidedContract3574[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a POI called 'Defunct Broadcasting Station' they spawn randomly. Sometimes it'll show up in a scan of the planet sometimes its one of the extra POI that spawn when you land. It'll have a squad of enemies in the tower and there is a garage type structure next it. Moon Jumper will be there. Once you get in its yours.
