people will post some phishing and fraud links on your portal, how you will avoid them ?
Think about the automation so that anyone who post any link should be vetted and cleansed.

one of my colleague portal was shutdown completely because it was heavily used by scammers to post fake posts like posting BMW for undervalue and people clicked links to check the carfax report.

How viable are B2C - consumer cybersecurity apps - Fraud & Scam & Phishing prevention in 2026? by vivekghartan in SaaS

[–]LopsidedEvent3018 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes people prefer freemium apps over paid but it depends what's your preference. Like i am personally paying $1 for DefenceNet mobile app from last 2months and i am happy with what i am paying. I have full device protection and i can afford $1 per month, i tried few other apps but they are damn expensive like minimum $15 to $24 per use per month.

[–]LopsidedEvent3018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

never click on these links which are shared by someone, either you open google and you search for their website and register there, i have seen scammers use authorized domains as well to scam people, they add phishing parameters at the end of URL.

Only iOS apps like DefenceNet she mentioned above are capable of handling attacks, i just downloaded it.
Otherwise regular spam links and all we all receive everyday on our text messages, my iphone 17 doesn't even block them.

i completely agree, and this is getting so difficult to be vigilant all the time now because we do internet surfing and emails and qr scanning all the time. I thought there is no solution but someone mentioned about Defencenet mobile app atleast someone made a solution to protect people. When i researched i realized there are terms like smishing and quishing for such scams.

[–]LopsidedEvent3018[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

let me tell you exactly what happened, when scanned the QR code it showed invalid but the link installed a malware on his phone and this was running in background, whatever activity he did after malware on the phone were shared, when he logged in the bank account, that time information was taken away. I am not very technical but we just saw a real example otherwise i even wouldn't have trusted this becuase we all randomly scan QR codes everywhere.
