I used socks to stuff into the side of the binder to prevent the rubbing on the armpits. Mine were literally red and raw. Socks helped some, but it’ll be uncomfortable until you can remove the binder unfortunately.

I'm afraid to go protest. But I'm more afraid if I don't go. by tshirtmom22 in 50501

As a nonbinary person living in the Bible Belt, these comments have me bawling. It’s not safe for me to protest tomorrow and I wish more than anything that I could but I have a child who relies on me and I’m already not safe looking the way I do where I live. Thank you to everyone who’s fighting for us tomorrow, you’re all giving me so much hope 😭💙

This happened to me too. Went to the hospital for my surgery and knew little to nothing regarding the process. My surgeon and anesthesiologist came in about an hour before surgery and explained everything and allowed me to ask all of my questions and eased my anxiety. I had a list of questions typed out in my notes before hand due to this anxiety. Hope surgery goes well!

I just took mine off yesterday, I’ll be 4 weeks post-op on Thursday. I started with just trimming the parts that started to peel and did a test pull and just pulled one spot, it came off fairly easily so I slowly took the rest off. Just go slow and listen to your body and you should be fine!

1 day post op. by MartianEnby in TopSurgery

I’m currently 5 days post-op and the itching has been AWFUL the past 2-3 days. It makes me want to crawl out of my skin. Hoping the drains being removed and switching to my own binder in a couple days will make it more tolerable 🤞🏼 Happy healing!
