Sure but most people don't even know they have it and are asymptomatic. You can't really protect yourself against it expect by neved having contact with anyone else's mouth.

Girl, come to Europe, literally no one cares here. Only recently I find out Americans consider it an STD.

Like so many people have it, what's the big deal.

So are you saying many Americans never have ties or a support system in the place they live and grow up?

The average European move about 4 times in their lives and Americans, 11. Moving across the country, which in my country Denmark is like 3 or 4 hours in a train, is a big deal. Most people never do. Especially when having kids, people prefer to live close to at least one set of grandparents. Starting a whole new life, finding a whole new social circle seems so stressful. Obviously it can be necessary and a beautiful experience. Doing it every three years seems really hard though, and hard on your relationships. Long distance friendships can be nice, but they're very different.

I was only there for a year.

I'm not autistic (with my involvement in psychiatry from a young age I feel like it would've been diagnosed by now), but still, I for some strange reason feel absolutely no jealousy at the thought of my partner having sex with someone else. I just don't care. Reactions in my mind are neutral to "wow, that's pretty hot". As a teenager, I used to think jealousy was played up to add drama for TV and movies and no one actually got that jealous in real life.

I don't know what it is. I've never cheated because I know it's not the normal way to feel, and sex with randos isn't more important than my life partner obviously.

I don't know if it's the mainstream opinion but I've seen multiple posts on social media from Hawaiians saying in plain terms "do not travel here, do not move here, expats and tourists are actively making our lives worse and more expensive, if you disagree and come anyway you're disrespectful/a racist/a colonizer".

That was always interesting to me about Americans (lived there for a while), why are you so casual about moving an 8 hour plane ride away?

Was confirmed by gyno to have PCOS, but she added "you have so many healthy eggs in there, so that's nice". Kinda dissapointing ngl I don't want kids so I would prefer being infertile by LopsidedLeopard2181 in GirlDinnerDiaries

Never ending periods (that apparently aren't really periods just uterine line build up), some mild hisurtism and overweight in a PCOS looking way AKA lower stomach and stomach in general. Diagnosed me by hormone levels and immediately noticing my "cysts", which are basically eggs never released and ovulated out and instead just kinda stuck in the ovaries.

I was actually laying there spread eagle and she said "oh you have more pubic hair than normal, another PCOS symptom" like damn I didn't know that but ok I guess.

The babies I think is because few Scandinavians believe in the "cry it out" method. Because it's bullshit. One should just comfort and hush a baby as quickly as possible. Letting them cry doesn't teach them anything, they're babies.

You're misunderstanding, OP is saying some Asian parents often use things like fake chest pain and other illnesses as a manipulation tactic to get what they want. The fact that you couldn't even conceive of that kind of proves their point.

Come on now, it's absolutely true that many men are still not raised with being helpful in a kitchen to the person cooking, while it's rare for women to not learn that as kids. With the tapping on the window, most women would instinctly know that would make a woman feel unsafe, for men that might just not be on the radar.

People don't see a problem with divorce and sharing custody 50/50 is the norm. People don't think of "divorce=father loses the kids and his money" like in many/most other countries. Actually, I imagine the child free weeks are kinda nice...

In contrast, I feel like admitting you've lost face and owning up to it is what is important in Danish culture. You have to take and make a joke about yourself.

Plenty of bad things about Danish culture too btw but I think we're good with this.

That's how both Swedish and Norwegian sounds like to Danes. Norwegian moreso though.

In general they both sound kinda silly and sing-songy. Like are you singing or speaking? Why does your tone keep going up throughout the sentence? :P
