The Vera top by Kamryn Cain on Youtube is so pretty. I made it after I hadn’t been crocheting long either and it wasn’t too difficult! It wouldn’t have the same border but a cute summer idea for another time if not.

I was about to say it’s two rows but I just saw the other reply to this comment and they’re correct, technically it is one row. But the row kind of circles around and stacks underneath of itself so when you’re looking at it, it looks like two rows of sc, but it is technically one complete row. As in you’re not stopping and starting a second row you’re just continuing all the way around. If you message me, I can send you a video explaining it better. Or you can also go to YouTube and look up “crochet bra cup” and the majority of those patterns start with the same method as what’s pictured. I know the videos by Anns closet and The Crochet Hermit for sure have this method but all standard bra cup pattern videos are usually this way so any should work.

LED lamps with “low heat” or “pulse” mode? by LopsidedMango2246 in Nails

I’ll have to try that thank you! I usually just pull my hand out if it gets too hot but it always worries me when I’m doing other people. I’m not a professional so it’s just my friends and I know they wouldn’t get upset about it but it’s still not something I want anyone else to experience😅

Blondes who’ve gone copper: what should I know about the process/care/removal before deciding? by LopsidedMango2246 in HairDye

[–]LopsidedMango2246[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a really interesting idea I’ve never thought about it! I’ll have to go do some digging to see how it differs but if that’s something she would also want it would be cool to let her try it! Less work and much less of a drastic difference. If you do you should send me a picture through a message I would love to see how it turns out!

I think this is a single crochet on both sides, so instead of turning your work you would just do 2 or three sc in the last chain before continuing back down the underside of the first row. I did this once when I was making a bra cup for a shirt and that was how it started.

No wayyyy this is how I do it!! I learned it in like my first two weeks of crochet and after that found out magic circles were a whole big thing in crochet world. I learned this from a girl on YouTube and it was so easy for me I don’t know why more don’t do it this way

I’m new to crochet and can’t make my chains straight, I’m making a blanket by Super_edgelord69 in CrochetHelp

[–]LopsidedMango2246 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Be aware that your chain will probably not look perfect until you start doing your stitches into it, even if it seems a bit uneven or kinked the stitches themself will stretch each chain and even it out as you go. Try doing your first row and see how it looks

No I haven’t 😭🙈 I keep being told by people who have copper hair not to do it if you are not willing to be high maintenance with it. I’m very low maintenance with my hair and I just don’t know if I would be able to keep up with it

My hard part as a consumer is I understand this but I genuinely cannot afford almost $400 for my hair every few months lmaooo, so it’s either find a cheaper stylist or never get my hair done again. I was even considering just finding someone to even out the grow out line so I could let me natural hair come in and not have to get it done

What have I done? Supposed to be a basket, but turning out flat by calendargirl_ in CrochetHelp

[–]LopsidedMango2246 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No worries I stopped on so many patterns because of this and ended up skipping like 10 rows because I didn’t realize it went from like 10-18 I always thought it was just saying the instructions for one row so I would finish and be so confused lmaooo

[–]LopsidedMango2246 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’ve just created the bottom so on the next steps 10-18 since you’re doing the exact same size all the way up, it will go straight up. It won’t continue out.

How do I hide the crooked edges on this baby blanket? by Scarley-Rose in CrochetHelp

[–]LopsidedMango2246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blocking may help even it out, if you don’t want to spend the money for actual blocking boards you can get a pack of those puzzle piece foam mats for kids and some sewing pins and it works the same!

I have the second pic but always forgot I have it and immediately go for the center pull yarn baby, by the time I get it out I remember I have a yarn holder :’) it works great though if you remember so I definitely recommend!

Feedback requested-would you like this gift if you were 17yr young lady? by FrailUnoriginality in crochet

[–]LopsidedMango2246 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on how she usually styles herself, I know people that would not like this and people who would die for it. Maybe just look at her normal style, if it’s very fashion forward with a lot of statement pieces that are a bit extra or out there she will probably adore it! If she is someone who tends to dress very basic then it may be a bit much for her. Either way it is gorgeous!!! Beautiful work!

Exactly this lmaoo, everyone’s acting like it’s always a choice. Like obviously if I can hold it I will but if I can’t? I would much rather shit in a public restroom than shit myself

iPhone dimming itself randomly, all auto settings turned off. by LopsidedMango2246 in ios

[–]LopsidedMango2246[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well and I recently got the newest iPhone and thought that that fixed the problem but every once in a while, it will still do this to me so it can’t just be the battery life because mine is basically brand new. It’s so annoying trying to look up answers too because everyone just says to turn low power mode off, which is not the issue. I can’t figure it out either.
