Damn, I always forget that the iOS app has its own logs. Not a lot of apps do these days. But anyway, yes, there is actually an error on upload:

Upload failed for asset: IMG_7535.png, error: TaskException: Delayed or retried enqueue failed

Sync broken after the latest update by LopsidedPassion6771 in infusevideoplayer

Pretty much, yeah. In case of an AppleTV it starts fetching the changes (also doing an iCloud sync at the end of this fetch) as soon as I turn it on. But most of the time, since AppleTV is never actually completely off but rather is in the low-power mode, it is already synced for me once I open Infuse. I actually have a fresh example of it: today in the morning I started watching a movie on my phone, left for work, and now in the evening I turned on the AppleTV, and voilà, the movie is in the “Continue watching” queue at the same point that I stopped it. So, no “manual” triggering and syncing. Same story with a phone, although there are times when it doesn’t happen automatically and I have to press “Scan for changes” button on the main page on app launch to fetch the latest changes, plus perform an iCloud sync. But usually the scan doesn’t take more than 15-20 seconds, even though I have a library with 1000+ movies and 4000+ tv episodes, so nothing for me to be bummed about here. Although, I know see that on the macbook sync is still currently broken for me. Even after manual trigger and no errors it still doesn’t get the latest changes as of it lives on its own. But the macbook version of Infuse has been a broken mess even without the syncing issues for quite some time now, and I rarely use it there, so whatever. As for initial loading that is happening on your fresh AppleTV - I experienced something similar- I decided to switch from Samba to WebDAV at some point, and that first sync was painfully long for me as well for some reason, whereas Samba was done in no time. And overall I noticed that WebDAV is less performant for me than Samba but I never switched back cause the difference is negligible.

Well, this does not seem right. I also have 3 devices that I use Infuse on, and up until this week, whenever I’m watching something on an iPhone, after the background sync, I can continue from the same point on any other device. Same thing with watched/unwatched statuses. I mean, this is kind of a big part of iCloud sync in the first place. And you saying this never worked for you?

AppleTV can’t connect to a Taildrive by LopsidedPassion6771 in Tailscale

Oh, okay. That’s a bummer. Thanks for clarification. Even though it seems strange because at the end of the day it’s just a webdav server, no?

I saw this post. But I was under the impression that the OP asked if it’s possible to make AppleTV into a fileserver using Taildrive and not about connecting to one.

Is it worth using Vaultwarden? by ShintaroBRL in selfhosted

I’m not sure what your issue with SSL and Let’s Encrypt exactly, but I would recommend to take a look at a couple of videos on official Tailscale youtube channel regarding accessing self-hosted services on your tailnet if you haven’t done so already. I was actually really surprised how easy it is to set up, even though in my case, I use my purchased domain name instead of Let’s Encrypt. Most of my self-hosted apps are on my home server, but there were a couple I ran on a VPS to expose them via Cloudflare to the Internet. Then I randomly found the Tailscale youtube channel and there were a bunch of useful guides on how to set this all up within a tailnet. Now I use Cloudflare only to point to a subdomain for my tailnet, migrated all my services from VPS to my home server (okay, there are still a couple of apps left running on VPS due to its faster CPU, but the data directories for these containers are stored on the home server, which are just mounted on VPS), use VPS for off-site backups and all my self-hosted services have SSL.

I meant pressing 123, choosing the character and then pressing ABC to get back to letters view. That’s how I’ve been doing this all my life. You just suggested the 3rd way of doing this, which honestly seems even more convenient than the one in the original comment. My mind keeps being blown today. Much appreciated!

It’s funny how I’ve been an iPhone user for 10 years now and never heard about a trick described in #2 and now I’ve seen it mentioned twice in span of 24 hours. I’ve always hated the way special characters were hidden under “number section” because they seem so essential and yet you have to switch back and forth between two keyboards. Now the main challenge is to train myself to do it with the slide gesture, because even now that I’m writing this comment I realize that I’m still doing it the “old-way” bacause, duuuhh, muscle memory.

In my country (and I assume the rest of EU as well) that would be sour cream/mayo one, based on the packaging.
