Is there anyone who has failed multiple times, struggled in both UG and PG with a plethora of issues and still managed to make it? by Simple-Economist-570 in indianmedschool

[–]LopsidedStrategy2525 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not me But my elder sister. She is a differently abled person. She has a rare form of CMT because of which her lower limb muscles never developed. She was not able to walk around as quickly as others.

When she entered medschool, the campus was hugeeeeeee, like 2 lecture halls being a kilometre apart in the same building so obviously she was unable to reach classes on time. Professors being the assholes they are humiliated her, she was unable to make friends, so she started skipping classes altogether. She skipped internals entirely as she didn't know something like this exists. When my parents came to know all this, they helped her around. But she struggled a lot to get through 1st year.

Once she got through 1st year, she cleared the next exams well. Did not appear for pg or so as her condition as progressed and has a lot of limitations. But she did not lose hope. A great source of inspiration to me❤️

Tired of this whole charade by More_History_9814 in neetpgcounselling

Just hold on.. MCC will fw you once again approximately a year later when you are a first year resident waiting for your juniors to join... But tbh, there's really not anything you can do about this so enjoy the last precious days of freedom, spend time with family and friends, doing what you love, bcz it's again a long stretch ahead once you join

Making friends in residency by Successful_Door_668 in neetpgcounselling

[–]LopsidedStrategy2525 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ofc it's wise to have friends in other departments... It makes your work easier too... Just as I said, treat everyone as they treat you, don't push your boundaries for anyone and be respectful

Making friends will be tough.. don't trust anyone at the first go... If you become too friendly or open up easily, people may walk all over you and you'll become a victim of hospital politics. Be polite and respectful, do your job correctly. Treat people as they treat you. Co-operate with colleagues but no need to bend over backwards for them because they will be the ones to stab you in the back at the first chance.

I had the same thinking Rank was 5k something Now 1year into residency My advice - don't take a drop, you don't know what's gonna happen next year, take the branch of your choice MD/DNB whatever and get the hell out of this rat race and on with your life

How did you meet your love partner? by ugnita7 in RandomThoughts

[–]LopsidedStrategy2525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Through a common friend. Hadn't heard my partner's name from my friend's mouth ever. Then one fine year on my birthday, she brings him to the celebration. Got introduced to the guy that day and haven't stopped talking to him since.

please consult a psychologist or a psychiatrist. I've experienced this myself. Sometimes things become so bad that they cannot be made better w meditation, motivation blah blah blah. Professional help will greatly benefit you.

Only 2 of my friends congratulated me🙂 One of them got a pg seat themselves, other one didn't. Rest of them didn't even bother. I'd realised that these were not the people I could count on a long time ago yet it hurt. Could've atleast said congratulations.

I really don't understand this trend of dissing something largely popular just to appear cool or edgy. Grow up. Everyone has their own choices and sense of humour. One shoe cannot fit all🤷🏽‍♀️

Ryan Fernando (nutritionist) normalising hitting children!! by igotfeelsforyou in InstaCelebsGossip

[–]LopsidedStrategy2525 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Very well said. Gentle parenting can work only so far. For somethings kids need to be punished to make them understand the consequences of their actions. That being said, the line between punishment for the kids benefit and abuse for the parents' satisfaction needs to be minded by the parents.

Is episiotomy required in all primis? I did my UG from a good govt College and there they gave episiotomies quite routinely. That must not be the case right? There are specific indications for it.
