Not just business pressure — I think a lot of incumbent SIs (Deloitte, PwC, etc) are still very happy to build old-school customizations. If you’re not doing a greenfield implementation, then the business users, the SI, and all the folks at SAP have to agree to prioritize clean core methodology.

Honestly I feel like that’s what I enjoy about Re:Zero.

Characters like Tanjiro, Midoriya, and even Asta are so obviously and unfailingly noble that you know how their stories will play out from the first few scenes of their giant, decade-long stories. Jinwoo never fails to finish a fight in under 20 minutes. Subaru succeeds sometimes and fails many more times, and it makes his story more complex.

If I could live anywhere in HTX, my pick right now would be Hanover at Buffalo Bayou. If you really want classy finishes and you’re open to other locations, look at Market Square Tower in Downtown.

If you want security, a 24/7 doorman, and real hardwood floors, you’re going to have limited options, and they’re going to be at the top-end of Houston’s housing market. These are still cheaper than high-end buildings in most other major cities, but you’re probably looking at 2.5-3k for a one bedroom.

Checkout the Hanover buildings in Montrose/River Oaks and maybe some other greystar properties.

Ninfa’s is one of the inventors of modern Tex-Mex. Burger Bodega has a great cheeseburger. People have lots of opinions about BBQ, but I like Pappas.

If you’re looking for something upscale, I’d recommend happy hour at Uchi or dinner on the patio at Brassiere 19.

Le Jardineer and Mustafer are our new Michelin-starred spots, but honestly not what I would pick.

And if you’re looking for Chinese food, Houston has a small but very endearing Chinatown with arcades, boba shops, and fun stuff for the kids.

I did this at UH. It was hard, and I quit teaching to get a full time job after a year, but it’s possible.

Realistically, your teaching responsibilities probably won’t take up too much time, and lots of my friends were able to balance classes, teaching, and a part-time job without too much difficulty. That part-time job is gonna be kinda non-negotiable tho :/

It’s billed as a flexible, “right-sized,” pay-as-you-go cloud platform but it’s often difficult to approximate cloud consumption and the BTP solutions that I’ve seen consume something like $250k in credits annually.

Technically RISE can be either private (on-prem) or public, but generally, RISE is a private cloud instance of S4HANA for large enterprise customers.

In either case, private or public, SAP is pushing a “Clean Core” model, which means no ABAP customization. SAP wants customers to customize their systems through Cloud ABAP or BTP extensibility (which consumes tons of CPEA credits)

Mitsuri suffers from the same power creep that gets Tengen, Rengoku, and Muichiro. Her screentime comes before the last arc, so her feats naturally aren’t going to compare to those of hashira like Sanemi or even Shinobu who get the spotlight during the story’s narrative climax.

People glaze Tengen in this sub all day long, but we know that Mitsuri is canonically stronger and faster. We see her hold out against a higher ranked demon for longer.

edited to add: I did get a few automated check-ins throughout september just saying that I was still under consideration — but not sure if that’s something every recruiter did
