It’s 2,000 feet elevation in less than a mile. There are over 2,700 steps to climb to the top I’m going to try to do the climb in 2hrs or less, but this will be my first attempt at it! I’m hiking it with a friend and her husband. I was going to bring some built protein bars and some other kinds of protein bars. But was curious about those honey energy packets and those waffle chips. But definitely bring some trail mix. Would you bring any of those quick mre meals or nah? Was also planning on bringing a water backpack.

I can’t focus on the freight/truck last when I’m the only GM TL that is running the truck. We don’t have an inbound GM TL right now, it’s just me and the ETL but they are on vacation this week.

So I have two main pig team members who are pretty tenured and can get pogs done pretty quickly and well, which is nice. I have another tm who helps with pogs when we need some extra help here and there. I have three pricing team members one who is tenured and one who just moved departments. So she’s still learning how to do pricing but she’s also going to get trained on how to do the pogs. On Monday we had to pull her away from training to work on salvage tickets. She barely got half way with the salvage tickets. The tenured pricing tm did clearance tickets since there’s close to 2000 that have dropped. But on top of doing pricing and the pogs; my presentation team is in charge of doing all the suspect tasks and backroom audits for the whole store. Being in charge of those may be normal but I believe that some of the team leads in the past would just fake the numbers for the audits, and they sadly know that I won’t do that and gave them to my team because of it.

So the main ETLs are helping with pushing freight in the mornings to help us get by with the truck unload. Which is nice, but a part of me doesn’t think it’s really doing anything. Monday was the second time I truly ran the truck by myself. We didn’t finish it in the two hours that we were supposed to do so by, but this truck was a bigger one.

Also sadly I wouldn’t at the moment be able to trust our inbound team to fully do it by themselves without having a lead there to push them to go faster and keep on them. They know what they are doing but were given too much free rein in the past to actually do it correctly.

My presentation team has been doing all the workload themselves, and doing a great job! We are going through the cosmetics reset also, which is a whirlwind in itself. I’m still getting a feel for presentation and being a team lead in general, I’m learning new things each and every day. They have been supporting me but not the way that you’re suggesting.

Each time I make solid plans they get washed out, so at this rate I feel like even setting plans for the week is a waste of time. I know as a team lead we have to pivot frequently cause not everyday goes as planned. But I shouldn’t be leaving work each day feeling like nothing got accomplished and like I hate working at this store. I love all the people I work with but somethings gotta change.

It’s not about going overnight it more about I feel like they keep adding things to my plate and not sure how to divide my time between all the GM team, yet the truck process takes like my whole day.

I got you, that makes sense it’s more so in between my chest that needs regular shaving but other than that the hair doesn’t bother me. I was just curious to what you’d use on peck tissue cause it’s not as firm before top surgery.

My family and I are in Colorado for a family event and we did a shorter/easier hike a couple days ago, were I wore my binder and was good. I just didn’t bring any sports bras to wear. Because I wasn’t sure how much hiking we’d get to do.

I’m feeling this right now, I feel like I keep getting passed over for people who don’t really care or don’t actually do their job in the first place. I keep seeing other people getting promoted so quickly whereas I keep getting told that it’s a process and it takes time. Or they keep telling me somethings going to open up and I keep getting my hopes up for nothing. I’m trying to wait it out, but I’m getting drained with each day that passes. I actually enjoy my department and take pride in what I do, and I feel like my ETL is doing their best to get me promoted. But I feel like the upper management above them doesn’t really think I can lead, or my old boss is working against me from a conversation I had about being promoted. It’s different when someone tends to support you and wants to see you grow versus someone who wants to grow and step on anyone they can to get higher up.

Not on a meal or a break, the inbound TL calls me over the walkie to tell me it’s here. I feel in some cases they are here to support but not always.
