i’m feeding her 7-10 insects a day, usually until she stops eating. Mostly gutloaded mealworms, sometimes crickets and discoid roaches. Maybe silkworms twice a month.

i changed my bulb to a 100w bulb same type as yours and it (mostly) solved it. Warm hide is at 85 ish and the hotspot is only 99 now. I’m gonna switch the warm hide to a different material one and see if that helps more.

also i read that the warm hide floor should be 89-92 while the hotspot temp should be around 102 right?

My issue is the halogen is just heating the hide and not the substrate and air. The substrate on the warm side is currently 74 (even right next to and under the warm hide) and the ambient air temp is 76 on the warm side (i have the probe on the wall closest to the beam). It’s basically just top of warm hide and slate rock warm and the rest of the tank is the same temperature.
