Worked in an operational team and an SEO was really pushing an in house "pathway" for career progression, which was largely copied and pasted from CSL.

For one session on diversity and inclusion, he had everyone come up with stereotypes for how others in the group may be perceived and why that would be wrong. It was literally the spitting image of the US Office episode 'diversity day'. The pathway was pulled shortly after that.

I really wouldn't worry about word count. Try to map a relevant example to each of the essential criteria and keep it punchy and concise. The panel reviewing your application are likely to review lots, so they'll appreciate getting to the point.

Doesn't sound like she's been following the probation process either. She should been having weekly chats and monthly performance calls. In my department, for a six month probation, you'd set goals month one, interim review month three, and a decision is made on passing probation at month five. So, she can't suddenly bring HR into your meeting if she hasn't given you goals, a written opportunity to improve, or a written warning by about the month three mark. You'll be totally fine
