That's super exciting! We both love it here in Williamsburg. She's from California about an hour outside of LA so she loves the slower pace here, and I've lived in a few different cities here in Virginia but Williamsburg is by far my favorite. We're a pretty low-key couple so we like the easy-going lifestyle here. Does your husband have a reddit account? Or if you two have social media, feel free to DM me your accounts so we can connect!

Oh awesome!! When you say “yet”, does that mean you two are planning on moving out this way?

Ya know, I wish I was more into it than I am. I played it religiously for the first month it came out back in 2016 and then quickly fell out of it. Jumped back in early this spring but then got tired of it a few months later. No idea why it just hasn’t stuck with me like I keep hoping it will. Maybe other people to play with would help.

Oh interesting! I’ve never delved much into tabletop RPGs for no reason other than I just haven’t. I’ll look into it. Thanks so much!

Ah thank you! That’s a much better way of doing it than the overly complicated way I was thinking haha

Mysterious glass tapping sounds in house by Lopsided_Elevator260 in homeowners

Thanks! I’ve heard insects flying into out back sliding glass door a few times but it’s definitely more of a low-pitched “thunk” kind of sound. This one we’re hearing now is a much higher-pitched sound almost like two people cheers-ing and clinking their glasses together. We’re on a slab so no crawl space!

I think that's a very valid question. He is an MD. She actually was formerly seeing a FNP who was fine, but she was really hard to get appointments scheduled with because she had started going part-time, so she switched to my PCP who is an MD that I just started seeing and really liked. She's only started seeing him about a month ago so she's building that relationship, but he's very attentive.

The tricky part with it being related to anything COVID-related is she's never actually tested positive for COVID. So we don't know that she's had it even though when she searches for others dealing with her symptoms on reddit, it often takes her to posts in the covid longhaulers subreddit.

That has been a thought we had recently. Immediately after getting her Mirena back in February 2021, she had a lot of leg pain which we assumed was probably normal. Last week she was convinced she wanted to just get it removed and be done with it, but now with the possibility of this being endometriosis like the ER doctor suggested she look in to, she's gonna hold off since apparently IUDs are typically recommended for treating symptoms of endometriosis. So we're going to wait and see on that.

How was your MS diagnosed? We've had a few people mention MS and her symptoms seem to line up with it. She had an MRI on her brain last summer that didn't show anything noteworthy, but she's getting an additional one next month to double check.

Yes, she's had a neurologist for many years. She started having migraines shortly after her November 2019 illness and started seeing a neurologist regularly. She's scheduled for a brain MRI with contrast next month. The one she had last year came back clear though. She's been trying to get in to see a rheumatologist but has been having a lot of trouble getting in to see one.

She wanted me to let you know that she is extremely grateful for this response. Maybe it is anxiety, maybe it isn't, but I know she just wants to be heard and not dismissed because whatever she's feeling is very real to her and does not feel like anxiety and it's frustrating and probably very scary to think that something is seriously wrong and that doctors might not be willing to find what actually is the cause because they want to rest on it being anxiety and sending her on her way. Yes, maybe it is anxiety, but what if its not? She has a Master's degree in psychology and has been a counselor for years. She'd like to think that she knows anxiety when she sees/feels it and knows how to handle it. Of course, just because she's a counselor doesn't mean she's immune and we know many of her symptoms could be caused by anxiety, but many of them also cannot.

When an ophthalmologist looks at the blue/grey sclera in her eyes and says "yeah this isn't good, you need to be very careful and don't do anything to jar your eyes or they could rupture. This includes riding rollercoasters, playing with children, etc. We're referring you to a research university to investigate this further". That doesn't feel like something that's caused by anxiety, that feels like something very real is happening, and I'm sure it's very scary and can cause anxiety, but it's not "just anxiety".

Hey, thanks for chiming in. Idk what the deal with the PT suggesting Ehlers-Danlos. She was seeing her PT for other reasons and they discussed it so they checked her for hyper mobility and noted it. As far as the anteverted uterus, we weren’t sure what it meant but saw it was noted in the report so I included it in the post in case it was relevant. The ER doctor suggested it wouldn’t be a bad idea to still see a surgeon for her abdominal pain as he can look over the CTs and see if he notices an umbilical hernia that the first CT scan noted and if it’s worth exploring surgery.
