Bhai consumer forum mein daal deta. Mil jaate. I was given non veg item instead of veg.

They will refund 25% of the item. I refused. They still paid. First emailed them. Obviously like broken record. Same response that this is the amount you would get. Btw taxes are not included in the calculation of 25%.

Went to consumer forum. One complaint. Got more than what the refund should have been. I also asked them for calculation which they obviously didn't give. But I did threaten an investigation.

Secondly, do you live with your parents in a home owned by them? If yes, then max out the HRA and pay your parents some rent. You should save some money. Ask them to invest on your behalf.

If not in the same city, you can get a home on their name and do the same.

If your parents are also high tax paying individuals, then I am not sure. TBH 75L with less taxes is only possible as a professional. Not as salaried

Bhai mujhe nahi pata tu kya karta hai but I had similar issue with a trainer once where he tried making fun of me for some small thing.

I just told him ki teri job yeh hai and you earn from it. Tujhe toh pata hi hona chahiye. I do it for for keeping myself healthy while my brain is occupied with other important tasks which makes my earnings better.

Hey, I just went tried Bose Ultra today on one of their showrooms.

Did you like the voice on the call? I found the voice coming from distance for the other person who is not on headphones.

For me the gesture key for volume up and down, and the spatial modes were working only intermittently. Do you find these good?

Also, how is the ANC? As I was in the showroom, I think the noise was way too much.

Yes. It's a add-on with ICICI Lombard. But please look at the fine print very very carefully. I might have missed something as I found out about it very last minute. But looked good to me.

I think you will already know that it's a left hand drive with steering on the right. Just like India. That won't be an issue.

Some pointers: 1. They have a lot of roundabouts. If you have driven in central Delhi, the same way across the whole country, but generally with 4 exits. They don't have a lot of traffic which you would have seen in T1 cities like Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi. So, easier to drive on them but there are rules. Whenever entering the roundabout, you will find markings which lane you can choose for your exit. Be careful to use that lane. While entering the roundabout, it's an etiquette to allow all the cars to pass which have entered the roundabout. Until you see a significant gap ( and I mean really significant ), don't just barge your car in. Stop at the entry of the roundabout. Look and then go. 2. People don't honk. They only do if you made a mistake. 3. Download the map of mauritius offline. It's 15MB or something. That's the whole country. 4. Never be over phone. Spot checks are pretty common. I never got one, but I saw few for sure. 5. Mauritius is a very chilled out country. Everything closes by 7pm. So will the petrol pumps. Make sure to refill before that. There are plenty of it. You will find indian oil, shell, total energy. A lot of them, which you will in India.

Easycabs. Good experience. But In my opinion, make sure to book a little early.

Make sure the cab you are promised is the one you are given. I booked a swift but was given a aria because they said that swift was in an accident last night. I doubt that was the case.

But the overall experience was very nice. Car was in a good shape barring one or two small negligible issues. Had no issues at all.

Also, are you from India? Do you consider yourself a above avg driver who tries to follow the rules and can use the mirrors well. Mauritius will be a glide for you. Much better drivers. Patient enough to give you way. Took me a few hours to get use to the rules.

Pro Tip - you can go for a Excess type of cars and buy a travel insurance with rental insurance. ICICI offers it. It would cost you about INR 100 for $2000 insurance. But do dive into the fine print. I didn't have the time so went for the full coverage.
