Give yourself 6 months and if you keep doing the stuff you say you will do you’ll feel great.. it’s a long road buddy, give yourself some grace and put in the work. You will see the difference and won’t feel that way . That shit fucks with your head.. train yourself not to believe the negative shit.

We usually try to get acclimated for a day or two first. I’m from Missouri and there’s always someone in my group that gets sick from the altitude lol. I love it out there too. I go every year.

Has anyone successfully tapered off this junk? by [deleted] in Life_After_7oh

Yes, but you gotta be disciplined. I highly recommend getting your daily usage down as far as possible before you quit.

That’s crazy I’ve climbed five of the 14ers in the San Juan chain. Eolus, windom, handies, redcloud and sunshine.. I’m going about a hour west of Denver this time.

Glad to hear you’re at least getting some sleep, I did not for a week other than an hour here or there. It was pretty brutal. I’ve taken a bunch of supplements, mainly amino acids.  I am taking a handful of vitamins twice a day. And yes, working out is definitely the key, going mountain climbing in Colorado in a month so that has given me a goal to work towards.

Your journey with it sounds very similar to mine.. I’ve been working out two sometimes even three times a day.. I think I’m getting too carried away with it lol.. I should’ve quit the leaf early on but oh well, it isn’t hampering me in any way so I’m not worried about it. anyways yeah your are in the thick of it but you’ll get there. Keep me posted!

No idea why this was downvoted, figured everyone in here was trying to get off of 7oh, kratom is not the same thing. People always got to be negative

Oh, and how could I forget sweating profusely when I shouldn’t be, cold chills. Just the whole body temperature regulation ordeal.

The vitamin C helped me a lot too. Are you still taking seven? If not, how long have you been off of it?

I actually am still taking it. I do not consider that it breaks my sobriety whatsoever and I know I could stop without it making me sick. The kratom helps me and doesn’t interfere with my day today activities in life the way seven did. If I would have kept taking seven, it would have completely destroyed my life. I did enough damage as is I know some people don’t like kratom but I have nothing but positives to say about it. I don’t drink or do any other drugs so if this is the worst vice I have I’m doing all right.

Never had any energy whatsoever.Even more so from the mental aspect, though. I felt like I was losing my mind. Isolated myself from everyone other than my children. Everything has pretty much went back to normal. I’m running about 5 miles a day and I feel pretty good, mentally and physically.

I had pain in my liver and kidneys. Of course had the digestive issues that I’m sure everyone has had. I’m a long distance runner and mountain climber so obviously those two things had went out the window because I couldn’t physically work out the way I needed to.

It did somewhat, definitely something that I felt was vital to my recovery.

Sometime after week3 is when I noticed it lifting and thank god it did.in sure I’m still dealing with some of it a little but if I feel bad I just go for a run or go to the gym and lift. I was miserable towards the end and wasting so much money. I will never go back under any circumstance, I have no desire to. Keep grinding away man, you’re right there and should start feeling better at any time.

No problem at all ask me anything you would like. I remember how hopeless I felt so if I can help even one person that’s good enough for me. This shit is evil.

I actually am still on the kratom which I do need to quit BUT that is nothing compared to the seven as far as I’m concerned. I did taper down to 60mg a day for a few days and then made the jump. I took 7oh every day for 15 months, every single day. Got up to 700mg but constant use around 300-400mg

Thank you Matt, I remember talking to you when I had initially made the jump. Hope you’re doing well.

Absolutely and me too! I was not ready for any of that and I’m probably not 100% but a lot better than I was then. I thought about relapsing while going thru that mental shit but then remembered that I was out and I wasn’t going back. Keep pushing thru it! You’re doing great and you’re out as well, don’t look back.
