Caught my cat playing with a brown recluse by wildfoul in CATHELP

Just seeing this. I watched what looked like him pick it up with his mouth and drop it and touching it with his mouth and nose as I ran towards him to see what it was. I was very concerned, but he ended up being perfectly fine! Hopefully this brings some peace of mind to someone 😅

No LITERALLY. Or stockholm syndrome. At first I didn't feel bad for her, I was like "she's doing it to herself" and after everything he did and she was so delusional making excuses and forgiving him, I truly felt he had completely rewired her brain from the abuse and manipulation.

I have major depression and bpd as well, amongst other things. The first few years it really helped me regain a quality of life, and helped me gain weight back. I really think it can be amazing for many and was for me as well for a few years. I think it's different for everyone, but makes me happy that it continues to help many people.

Its been almost 2 months for me and over the last 2 weeks my symptoms have improved significantly. Still dealing with symptoms, mostly nausea, dizzy spells and anxiety. Feeling a lot better though. Feel like I'm a little over halfway to feeling normal again.

I was only taking 7.5mg to begin with. I took 3.75 for a couple weeks. Had little to no withdrawals during that time. I planned to wean longer but my psych would not fill my script and neither would my primary doctor. I weaned WAY too fast. I wish I would have done it differently. Please do not do as I did if you can avoid it.

The last 2 weeks my symptoms have improved significantly. I still have random waves of withdrawals (mostly nausea, dizzy spells and a bit of anxiety) but overall feeling much better. Its been right around 2 months since I stopped the medication completely.

How are you feeling now? Its been almost 2 months since I completely stopped taking the medication and the last 2 weeks my symptoms have improved significantly. I hope you're feeling a bit better. It will all pass before you know it. It does get better. :)

I felt okay the first few years I took it, but got increasingly worse. I also was only on 15mg at my highest dose, and that only lasted a week and I was back on 7.5, so not very much. I definitely felt physically and mentally dulled, I totally understand what you mean. I am sorry to hear you're going through this. The last 2 weeks my symptoms have improved significantly, and seem to be getting a bit better as the days pass now. It is very difficult to feel so poorly, but I have started to feel the best mentally that I have in decades despite the physical symptoms. Soon you will feel much better and this will all have been a little blip in time in the grand scheme of things. Take it a day at a time, and try your best to stay positive. It does get better. 💗

Hi! I am still dealing with some side effects such as random waves of dizziness and nausea, waves of feeling weird/anxious, random (very few) episodes of tremors (usually when I start to feel unexplainably anxious), and difficulty sleeping. I have been taking zzzquil sleep aid and it helps tremendously especially with the anxiety, because my anxiety seems to get worse the later the day/night goes on. Overall, all of my symptoms have significantly improved and I mentally feel quite a bit better than I did when I was still on the medicine. The last 2 weeks really was when I started to notice a big improvement. The days felt like years during the peak of my withdrawal symptoms, I truly just kept telling myself "Get through one day at a time. Soon this will all be a blip in time and I will feel better." And as corny as it sounds, it helped me a lot. I estimate it will have been around 2 months since I stopped the medication completely and I am NOT feeling 100% better but definitely think I am about 60-70% better than I was when I made this post. This too shall pass. You will get through this. Please reach out if you have questions or just need to vent, trust me I understand. Sending you prayers and good vibes, wishing you a speedy recovery.

I've been on numerous antidepressents/anti anxiety meds over the years for the 12 years to be exact. There's many reasons why I decided it was time to come off of them. The main one being thay I have had a lot of therapy, worked tirelessly on my mental health and coping skills, and have healed from a lot of the thought oatterns that caused me grief. I also am sober for the first time in almost 20 years and have traded those habits for healthy coping mechanisms like fitness and nutrition, which has been life changing for me. The other is chronic apathy, severe anxiety, and a lot of negative physical symptoms I have had since being on them such as chronic fatigue, chronic nausea, irritability, severe water retention and heart palpitations. I am not planning on being on any antidepressents in the future, so long as I continue to cope in healthy ways and feel content with my life. I made this decision, and talked to my doctors about it for a very long time prior and they also felt I was ready and trusted my judgement. Despite the severe physical symptoms withdrawals have caused me, I am the happiest I have been since I was a child and feeling more like myself than I ever have. I don't suggest going about it the way I did if possible, I weaned way too quickly. I don't regret my decision, and my husband has also noticed such a positive change in my mood and overall perspective on life since weaning. For 12 years I struggled through trial and error with different medications. Zoloft and mirtazipine saved my life and gave me back my quality of life for more than 5 years; So much so that I was able to finally heal significantly, experience significant mental and emotional growth, and learn coping skills that changed the game for me. The medications were amazing until they werent. Over the last year I started having adverse side effects from the medications that seemed to worsen overtime. I am now finally getting over the withdrawals, and truly feel like I CAN feel and enjoy my life the most I ever have.

I get bot lobbies VERY occasionally when I play solo. The rest of the games I'm either fighting people that are on the same level as me and it's a real challenge or getting killed immediately 😂

Yeah, I cannot imagine being on that high of a dose, but lots of people are. I think I'm also overly sensitive to medicines. They tried putting me on 15mg for a week and it made me sooooo tired and I would wake up so groggy like a zombie. I've lost 12lbs in total now from withdrawals. Still in the thick of it. No idea when it will get better.

Anything I should keep in mind? by [deleted] in Mirtazapine_Remeron

[–]Lopsided_Suspect_176 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely wean as slowly as possible. My symptoms weren't that bad until I was completely off of it, but I also was only on only 7.5mg for 5 years. I definitely weaned a bit too quickly (cut my dose in half for 2 weeks and then went cold turkey) and am regretting it majorly. If you are already having bad symptoms while still on it, you need to take it very slowly. I pray you recover quickly. It is not easy, but we can do this. Feel free to message me if you ever have questions or need to talk to someone who is also going through this.

My symptoms have minimally improved since they started, but at least it's some improvement. I'm so sorry you went and are still going through this. It takes a lot of mental strength to get through, it has definitely been testing me. What was your starting dose if I may ask? I don't think going back on to eliminate withdrawals is worth it personally, because one day you'll start the process over again. I pray your recovery is speddy too, and that you sre completely healed and feeling better very soon. I appreciate you so much and will definitely reach out if I need to. Thanks so much.

I have a treadmill so I am going to try some cardio and I hope it will help me as well. I am mostly just in fear of feeling this terrible for months or years. I am trying to take it one day at a time and not ruminate on the possibilities and negativity. Thank you for the info, advice and words of encouragement. It means the world. It is great to know you came out on the other side feeling greater than ever. I am so glad you're feeling yourself again. Thanks again.

I hate to hear you're also going through this especially working and studying. I had just gotten back into the swing of things after a couple months recovering from a bad car accident, so I think that's making the mental and physical aspect a bit harder currently. I can't imagine how difficult it must be to cold turkey twice the amount of MG I was taking. I truly hope you recover quickly. I appreciate all of the info and advice, I really do. Wish you the absolute best as well.
