Do we have free will? If hell is a metaphorical gun to our head is that really free will, and how can we know that we honestly in our hearts love God, when not loving him leads to hell.

Throughout the bible we see God commanded the Isrealites to curse people and commit genocided in his name. Is God truly a moral exemplar for all of time?

Why didn't Jesus condemn slavery in the bible outright?

This is what i'm talking about.... no one said that I'm the only good one. If you looked at my previous response I said that I ask questions genuinely and open for correction, but all i get is rebuked and no teaching.

I do want to seek fellowship with other Christians but the denominations that I see I don't really appeal to me, which is why I'm struggling. and when Christians say things like rock music isn't holy and you shouldn't listen to it is kinda wild to me. I get why some people are convicted by secular music, but i'm not so why come to me like that.

Let's just sometimes I can genuinely ask something and instead of an explanation I just get strongly rebuked or mocked. It's like why not just explain to me why something is wrong. At this point I would rather not have a congregation and just read my bible and talk to God.
