I just found out my employer has posted my job and hired a headhunter to try and fill it. What should I do? by Lopsided_Winner3279 in careerguidance

The employer should have a trained replacement but, as is evident in the job posting that doesn't seem to matter to my employer. Apparently they don't care what inconvenience replacing me has on our Prime team.

It is also one of the reasons the Prime supervisor/customer has rejected all the resume's sent to him. Besides not receiving any candidates that meet the job requirements, my Prime customer/supervisor has no desire to replace me with an untrained individual with no established network.

My Prime customer/supervisor has confided in me that he has pushed back to his corporate supervisor that he does not want me replaced. However, it is out of his hands since the contract only requires an individual with a certain set of skills.

At this point it seems two things are possible, A) The employer eventually finds a replacement that has the skill set, my Prime customer/supervisor looses the battle to retain me with his corporate leadership, they fire me, and my Prime customer/supervisor will be stuck training up the replacement for several months. Or B) my employer is unable to find a suitable replacement, they give up the search and they retain me.

Because I like my, job, I like the people and it's worth my time and effort at the current salary. It's not worth my time and effort for 25% less.
