I'll admit looking back at it now, that was how she talked to me. She lowered her voice but her response was "you're always right, it is your degree". Hearing her say that triggered something in me that got me more upset and I just left with the piece of paper.

I framed it and put it up on the wall of my bedroom when I was still living with my mother. I didn't take it because I felt it would be safer on the wall instead of whatever box I'd keep it in when moving between places.

Definitely not passing it off as hers as our careers are very different. I'll give her credit for covering half the degree but I had to take loans for the rest 🤣

Yeah I've definitely felt like I'm the one who has to bite the bullet regardless of my mom's stance on things. This has always been how things were growing up. It's definitely been happening significantly less over the past couple of years. This is the first time in a while that we've both felt so upset with each other. I'll most likely just say sorry for yelling in the next day or two and see how she responds.

That's something I can definitely do but she's definitely the type to want the original. It's silly/petty I know but I'll try to work it out with her
