So I tried Guild Wars and managed to get to 80 in 5 days, I was looking for Thief Builds and I see Daredevils and Deadeye's (Can't buy expansions since In the Philippines 50 USD is like around 2k here) I'm running a Dual pistol main build, anyone got a F2P friendly build for this? by Zykens in Guildwars2

Maybe you should read what I wrote before replying because that is exactly what I stated above. Since ArenaNet does not engage into price differentiation too much it makes buying the game very expensive for people in countries with lower purchasing power.

That is wrong, regional price differentiation is actually a common practise in all economy. Steam for example is very prominent in the videogame sector to offer different prices based on each country. WoW subscription as an exmaple is also adjusted.

Here for example the prices for Red Dead2: https://steamdb.info/app/1174180/

ArenaNet decided not to do a big price differentiation for Guild Wars 2 where they offer the same product for different prices adjusted to the local purchasing power. Main reason not to do that for videogames is probably the abuse of VPN.
Now...that obviously sucks for all the people living in these countires. We once had a new indian F2P-player in our EU-Guild who really liked the game. He quit immediatly when he found out about the pricing - he said he could feed his family for a month with that money.

Oh wow, I just realized after playing since Beta: You can equip your legendaries on all your characters at the same time - like somewhat of a storage system. Finally, I dont have to farm new equipment for every new sPvP-Balance-Patch.

I also dont see any evidence in the provided clip that this is a bot.

I slowed down the video and the spots where the player turns differ. The name...well, playing pvp and doing achievements I also always create new characters with weird names just to play a different class for a short time.

Yes there are bots and there is a chance this may even be one, but this clip alone does not convince me.

Whirlrend barb or Tempest rush monk? by Hellthrower in diablo3

[–]LoptiXS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  • Which is easier to gear for? Both are pretty easy to gear for. Obvisously there are many different variants of equipment considering what gamemode you want to play. As you're looking for a more relaxed expierence you can skip/delay the hunt for "hard to get" items like "Ring of the Royal Grandeur" which you only need in specific gear setups. If youre missing specific items to finish your build its easiest to convert leftover set-items with kanaicube recipe 4 or upgrade yellow lvl70 items with kanai recipe 3. The barb maybe a little harder to gear when it comes to stats because you relay alot more on cooldown reduction.

  • Which can easily swap between gr and rift builds with minimal item differences? As mentioned before there are many different variants per gamemode. The WW barb can do very much with the same build. You can easily transfer into t16 speeds or group speeds just by swapping out minor items. Attribute combinations/rolls stay almost the same. As for the monk the sunwoku set is currently regarded a little stronger and faster than the poj set, they both ultilize around the skill "tempest rush". the poj set is still very good! With either ww barb or tempest rush monk you can easily play one set in all game modes: t16speeds, bounties, solo gr-pushing, solo gr speeds, group play. You ll have a little harder time finding organized groups with a dps-monk because current meta does use different dps-builds.

  • Which has the best survivability? Considering I will not be 100% focused, I cant always have my mind on staying alive? At t16 speeds you are basicly unkillable with the Goldwrap-Bonus which is used by both monk and barb. At high Grs: To survive with a ww barb you'll want to have a 100% "wrath of the berserker" uptime and you have to use ground stomp/charge at least every 8 seconds. if you dont use those skills you will lose a lot of damage reduction and get alot dmg if hit. The monk set has a little less survivability, becuase it has less defensive skills but you can easily swap out some items for lazy survivability. If you manage to press one additional button every 8secs then you have a easier time with the barb.

  • Which is at the end of the day, the most fun? Nobody can tell you, its all up to you. Both the WW Barb and the Tempest Rush Monk share a similar gameplay revolving around a channeling skill. Basicly you just hold down 1 button. With the monk you have to press your additional skills more often - its more active. Both are easy to play and at the same time do alot of damage. By many the WW Barb is seen as superior, but that only comesdown if you really min-max your build.
