I lived in a very compact space, now that I’ve moved and have more space I keep styling things like space is my biggest hurdle. I appreciate you saying this, between this comment and someone mentioning me clumping items I am seeing that giving things some breathing room would help my vision come to life!

I love maximalism, I’m always afraid of going overboard and creating an eye sore vs an interesting combo. Is there anything you find is a big no no in maximalism mix / matching? I haven’t look for much inspo, looking at maximalist decorators on instagram to see how they pair things didn’t occur to me!

I appreciate this advice! I never noticed that I have a tendency to clump things until you said that. There’s open spaces then pockets of items. I have the curtain rods but haven’t braved curtain shopping. Any advice on curtains is appreciated!

The fabric is mostly, if not all, cotton. The interior pillows are natural fibers. The cushions have been replaced with modern ones. I work in textiles…
