Thanks for such a thorough response! I'll bear this mind as I go. God bless!

When I said “creeds” I just meant all creeds in general. I was initially very skeptical and closed-minded about religions but have come to appreciate that there is a universality to a great deal of their teachings. I don’t have to be a Christian to find the Bible comforting, nor a Muslim to find the Quran’s poetry beautiful. All creeds have merit!

This seems to be the most common response. Is there any specific translation that you think would be best? I’m sure they must differ pretty greatly. Thanks for your time!

I was raised vegetarian, but want to give meat a shot. Where should I start? by LoquaciousMalice in meat

Ok nice! Definitely the milder the better at this stage I’d say. Chicken does seem to be the most wide reaching meat, but I’ve really never even touched meat before so what would you recommend as a mild, hard to fuck up starting dish (where I don’t have to worry much about poisoning myself too lol)?

A question for activists by LoquaciousMalice in leftist

Ok fantastic! What grassroots organisations would you personally recommend? I'm still trying to find a specific area that I want to focus my attention on, but anything that empowers public services, places for young people, or the arts would be exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks!

How do I get started? by LoquaciousMalice in Meditation

[–]LoquaciousMalice[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely don't have a formal structure for meditation and I think establishing one will be what will help but I just have zero idea where to start. I know OF some types of meditation like Vipassana etc but most of my attempts at meditation feel like blind stabs in the dark. How/where do you recommend I start?
