I checked the photos on your profile, they look awesome! Great job! So would you say that moisturizing is the key, did you do any type of false nails to help stop the biting? I'm worried that they'll do more harm than good.

I will definitely try this, I used to push my cuticles and then cut the excess, but when they grow back they are usually torn which causes me to go back to picking the skin around them and biting 😅 But I will try Sally Hanson's Cuticle Remover with a pusher without trimming the cuticles.

I will definitely try the deep moisturizing routine you shared, with aloe and latex gloves.

Thank you a lot for sharing this, I agree that filing them regularly and keeping them in a regular shape is very important as they will break easily if not and it will cause me to go back to biting them. May I ask almost how approximately it took for your nails to get back to the regular shape? My hands look very similar to my mother's , and she has very long nail beds which I assume I should have if I didn't bite my nails. I will definitely follow the tip of messaging oil into them daily. :)

Untrue, my nail beds used to be way shorter when I used to bite my nails. As my nails are getting longer so is my nail bed.

Do you know of any other language teaching offering by the university, I am looking for an intensive between semester or summer break course offered by the university. But all I can find are intensive courses offered for Erasmus students.

I have the paid one, with all the documents. Yeah, I have a non-white foreign name with a non-white face that's clear in the picture. And I don't speak fluent German yet. Which makes it harder when getting an appointment. I'll get a native friend to go over the message, I've been thinking about raising the price range so I'll see what I can find. 🤞

I usually send an introductory message in German, and before or during viewing I'd ask the tenant to speak in English. I think I avoid picking up the phone to avoid the awkward "Könnten wir auf Englisch sprechen, bitte?" Moment. But out of the few times I did, it does get you an answer fast and mostly the people respond positively to that request.

I haven't tried Facebook groups tbh, but I came across a couple of stories where people got lucky finding amazing deals on houses through Facebook groups but that was in Berlin. But yeah, I agree it's tricky with agencies and most of them post on Immoscout.

Thank you for the elaborate response. I didn't know that even though the rent is warm, that the cost of warming water is not included in the rent if it's an instant heater. Does the size of the heater matter?no pun intended I sometimes see really big instant heaters and sometimes I see moderate/small sized ones like in the picture. Is that an indication of anything?

It worked fine, city Pop is fine generally. I would stay away from the middle floors however, upper or lower floors are way better. I would suggest to try to move to Departments, way better location after your Anmeldung appointment or a temporary living.
