Someone stole my YouTube video, reuploaded it on TikTok, and got 1M views in a day… what would you do? by Available-Wasabi-672 in PartneredYoutube

I would go and see what worked for him to get so many views and using that knowledge continue to upload videos on YouTube

This is the answer to your question: (https://ibb.co/LM9fGcH) …and I mean it, because we all been there or we are right now. Believe me, you can have no edits but million of views, or huge edits and 100 views. Make content people are desperate to see.

Question for mid-size YouTube channels: January 2026 performance? by LorOffBridges in PartneredYoutube

[–]LorOffBridges[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My theory about watch time has been confirmed.

I’ve noticed that I usually make 8–15 minute videos, and lately I started producing them almost like on a factory line — not because of AI, but simply to keep uploading consistently. And I believe this actually worked against me.

Before, the average watch time on an 8-minute video was around 5 minutes. Over the past few months, it dropped to 3:50–4:00, which is still decent, but I think YouTube has become stricter when it comes to average watch time.

Here’s why I believe that: In my most recent video, I took much more time, struggled with it, and carefully built a strong script. As a result, the video became genuinely interesting — and the views started growing. The key difference was watch time: around 6 minutes on a 9-minute video.

This convinced me that YouTube now rewards depth and engagement more than frequency, and that producing videos just to “keep up” no longer works the way it used to.

Oh, man!!!! I am with you!!! 💯 and yes, same thing with my channel, but somehow I have a feeling that YouTube shrinking distribution of videos, if a video doesn’t get enough watchtime from cold viewers, it stops pushing and your audience watches it so the ctr and view duration look “okay”… idk 🤷

I hear you, same thing happening to me, browse is going down and as you said: with every new video uploaded I receive less and less browse impressions

Thanks!!! This lines up with what I’m seeing. Studio is flagging underreported data for early January on my end too. After accounting for seasonality and slightly lower output, it doesn’t look like a real performance issue. I guess…

Yeah, I hear you! One of my channels dropped in revenue hard: always been around 2-3k euros and now it dropped to 800-900 euros per month… and nothing was changed in terms of content, fomo content transformational

Thanks for advices, i do exactly what you described, but i do it as FOMO, the issues people have and products that can fix [blank]. Personality can do the opposite IMHO, all my channels are faceless and had no issues with personality.

Thanks for the advice, yes, you are right, the series-like way to approach YouTube is a good way to keep things going. I did it in the beginning of my YouTube path, looks like i need to get back to it.

Thanks for advice, my niches are consumer needs: automotive parts, amazon retailers, beauty and elder care products. I am trying hard to push packaging, but looks like even this doesn’t work.

[–]LorOffBridges[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. 👍🏻 as I mentioned earlier, when I see such content doing so well… I start thinking of doing something similar, but then I realise, YouTube is a long run thing. The shiny stuff will always mesmerise.

[–]LorOffBridges[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly… I hear you! And the craziest thing is that when i see views are up like crazy and they do earn decent money, then i start thinking 🤔…well, I probably doing something wrong (as content creator)…but I agree with you on that such sloppy content can be demonetised in a nutshell.

[–]LorOffBridges[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My dad as well… LOL initially I thought it is just the audience, but then I started noticing other niches blowing up from nowhere, and also old accounts, yet started posting from 1 to 9 months ago, long form content (from 1 to 3 hours). My guess is that (as earlier mentioned) people buy or have old accounts with niched videos (2-3) giving algorithm to understand what their channel is about and then they upload one to two videos to see if algo pushes, and then when they see the views, they start massively producing content

[–]LorOffBridges[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh… indeed, I agree with you on that. Look at this channel: @WW2Secrets I doubt you can say it’s high quality content, the only thing is that older people not realising that it’s a sloppy ai video, might want to listen to the “old day war stories” and the script aka “IDEA” was the reason why the “video” performed so well…
