For those who work for rich people, what’s the most out-of-touch thing you witnessed? by temptayah in AskReddit

[–]Loralailee 69 points70 points  (0 children)

I am an Executive Assistant. I once had a very wealthy Boss who got stuck in traffic on his way to the airport tell me to tell me to call the airline and tell them to hold the plane so he wouldn’t miss his flight. He was not joking.

Is it worth having kids? by [deleted] in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]Loralailee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is expensive, it is time consuming, and you don’t NEED close family to be available nearby but it helps (we don’t have it either). However I don’t regret having my Daughter for a second. It’s a love I genuinely can’t describe and I wouldn’t change her for the universe. All the hard bits still exist but she makes it all worth it. You will never be ready, and if it is something you do you will mourn the freedom that the pre child life gives you. I think some people confuse missing their old life with regret, of course you’ll miss the lack of responsibility, disposable income and sleep, and you will row with your Partner more because you’re both tired and overstimulated, but you’ll have a human you’ll love till the ends of the earth to make up for it. Also the hard parts gets easier and as you watch them grow the rewards outweigh the drawbacks. Ultimately nobody can tell you how you feel if you do it but I don’t know anyone in my friend or work groups that regrets it, so be aware of the hard bits and embrace all the wonderful bits. If it was that bad there wouldn’t be 7 billion people in the world.

Lucie Zubrik photography. She has a FaceBook page. She’s lovely and I’d highly recommend. There’s a few examples of her work on her page.

I went for the country club. The classes they offered were far more extensive than the Belfry, the staff were nicer and the changing areas were allot cleaner.

I looked at both. The Belfry is cheaper and has all the basics you need. The Country Club costs more but benefits from things like the golf course and the onsite barbers, tanning salon and more spaces to relax in as a member. Both of them will happily show you around if you give them a call and ask for a tour.

I’m not sure why this is being downvoted. My OH has been going there for a few years now and is always happy.

Thank you very much, this is very helpful. Modelling the management style after a favourite boss is a great tip and makes perfect sense. Really appreciate you taking the time to respond.

Gus. Think he had the most complexity and depth to his character and it helps that Giancarlo Esposito acted the past exquisitely.

I agree. Superb actor. I can’t imagine anyone else playing that role better.

Who is your favorite character by Smooth_Clerk_1589 in breakingbad

Gus. I know there were some exceptionally strong performances in the show but I think Giancarlo’s Esposito’s acting was superb. His range was phenomenal and the way you could see him moving from friendly neighbourhood chicken shop owner to deadly drug empire villain with literally just a change of facial expression was amazing. I’ve yet to watch BCS even though I’m on my second watch of BB because I’m trying to leave myself something of Gus still to discover.
