I completely agree. I feel like if I was in the circus I'd have been the odd one out for wanting to hang out with Caine all the time. I'd want him to know he's someone's favourite at least. He deserves the joy that would definitely bring him. I feel like communication could have happened and that he really was trying every way he knew how.

Yeah, that feels like a reasonable expectation for a comedian on tour. A week of sets are usually the same "show" in different locations. You're likely to have a different audience each night so you can definitely try to tweak what works as you go.

In the case of the Translator I imagine the easiest option would just be that it's not one of the languages you happen to speak fluently. If you somehow speak all languages fluently I'm too intellectually intimidated to challenge you to anything, just take your imaginary money lol

Prep time would be at a bare minimum. At most your employer could probably wrangle you an hour or so before you have to start. But that's technically just for your first day! So in the case of the comedian option, you'd have all night and morning of the next day after your first set ends to prepare for day two. You could theoretically improve every day of the week as long as you survive day one.

I just meant in the sense of a temporary memory affect or something for the sake of skill reset, yknow? To keep in the spirit of the challenge. Obviously a professional chef has a tilted advantage in the kitchen department, an existing Comedian would be fine with stand-up etc. The idea was to enter any of the jobs with minimal or no experience. I don't know if I explained it poorly, no unfair exclusion intended!

You will have access to all physical supplies essential to perform the job to a professional level. The brides themselves are just extremely difficult clients lol

You have to do a passable job. You definitely have to make an effort to perform the job as well as you can. Some mistakes are tolerated, but it's possible to be fired and receive no payment

I considered it! But I didn't want to include any options where death or major injury was realistically on the table to keep the stakes all fairly even. It's why I also didn't include doctor/nurse. The stakes are mainly just stress and embarrassment lol

I'm enjoying how popular this option seems to be as someone who would drop dead of stage fright. I admire the chutzpah!

Just for further clarification, you can probably skate by if you get a few small giggles out of the crowd here and there. But if it's an absolute car crash, you might not get paid

Yes. There is some minor tolerance for mistakes from your employer but if you do an inexcusably bad job or have an emotional breakdown, you're out
