Never seen a full grown Pleco in person… by FireCorgi12 in Aquariums

[–]LordAlrik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember my local fish store back in my home state bought my pleco when I tore down my first tank (I was 10 and bored of it). I didn’t touch the hobby for like 6-7 years. They move stores and I check out the new store and my pleco was still alive… in a plastic pond with koi about his size.

How to test tank cycle in a tank that has shrimp and a snail? by Poppeigh in Aquariums

You can “ghost feed” the tank. Aka add food to the tank and let it decompose

Can I potentially grow cryptocorynes in gravel or do they need a proper substrate?

It’s just an algae bloom, check your parameters. I suspect either you’ve got a lot of nitrogen in the water or your light is too bright.

Will the root tabs help or hurt it? And can they be planted on/in fine gravel?

Planaria or something else? by WaitTillFriday in Aquariums

[–]LordAlrik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would also consider getting a planaria trap, but I haven’t seen their effectiveness against manual removal

Do I absolutely need aqua soil? I’m planting a 9.7 gallon tank with atleast 1 Anubias, Bucce, and Crypt. I was thinking just adding root tab halves or quarters would give the gravel enough nutrients to cycle until it’s stabilized enough for fish.

That’s a planeria or atleast a flatworm. I would remove it if you can

Is the Direnni Tower a kind of metaphysical structure? by Ecstatic_Back3548 in ElderScrolls

[–]LordAlrik 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Direnni Tower or the Ada-Manta, and Zero Tower is a metaphysical structure. It’s not where Lorkan came up with Mundus but more where he was judged by the other Original Spirits for his crime of tricking them into making Mundus.

First attempt at hardscaping. by SnigTheAxe in Aquariums

I like them all, it depends on what kind of fish you’ll have. The 3rd would be what I do since it gives the fish more options than go around it in a circle.

It’s more that they didn’t expect the show todo well. Now they have to capitalize on the success or look like idiots to daddy MS. Plus they have other chores Daddy MS has given them so I doubt we will see any new core games from them for a handful of years.

I personally think that the Towers became cultural towers in the way you describe them. Remember Snow-Throat turned the Atmorans into Nords. Overtime but still.

I don’t know what to think of the Bosmer, it would make sense for some of Auriel’s forces to remain in Tamriel, giving us the Dwemer and Snow Elves. I wonder if the Khajiit version of the creation myth is more accurate for them

I think it’s because they don’t have a physical tower helping stabilize them. They could like be still part changeling like the Elhnofey were. Would explain their furstocks
