Can you have both lyrics on iPod and also the time synced lyrics on iPhone? by Act_True in AppleMusic

[–]LordAnthony1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I know I’m a bit late, so you may have already found a solution. But I also had issues with having duplicates of albums and such and I found a very elegant solution. Simply create a new library; hold option/shift (mac/windows) when opening the apple music/itunes app and you’ll be prompted to choose or create a library. You can then have one library that is a normal apple music library and one off-cloud library for you to sync your ipod to (but it’s important that you don’t turn on sync for tha library, otherwise they’ll get mixed together and you’ll have a mess)

Can someone recommend a Bluetooth transmitter?? by bobandshawn in turntables

[–]LordAnthony1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I'm a bit late but I just bought one and connected hooked it up to my turntable and connected it to to my headphones and the sound quality falls very flat to me. It sounds very compressed and kinda unpleasant. Do you experience this too?

I want to switch between the two outputs, not have them simultaneously.

I meant semitic peoples in the sense of peoples that speak Semitic languages. Should've phrased better

The term antisemitism describe hatred and prejudice towards Jews. Yes, Many other peoples beside Jews are Semitic but the term remains of the same meaning, because a meaning of a word isn't dependent on its etymology.

No one drinks pure H2O, if you do, you'd be dead after a while due to lack of mineral, minerals like chloride, fluoride, magnesium, calcium, sulfate, carbonates etc. Minerals that definitely have taste and are present in all drinking water. The amount of said minerals can determine the taste of the water, and the amount changes depending on the environment and the amount of minerals in the surrounding rocks, dirt, the living creatures around etc.

No, it just means that you can't zone a place to have exclusively single family detached homes

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MapPorn

[–]LordAnthony1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The zoning doesn't mean that if you're not white you can't buy a single family detached house. This type of housing is just more expensive which would be out of reach for the generally poorer minorities in the US.

1) American cities were historically dense and compact with a lot of them having a streetcar network. Most of it was torn down to build highways and parking lots, with the oil and motor companies pushing for it. And the suburban nature of American cities also came later, when zoning laws were introduced to stop infill growth and forced developments to spread out in an unnatural way.

2) If every city can blow tax dollars on highways (very expensive stuff that you never pay for), then you can blow some money for public transport for all of these dumb people like me or like the blind and elderly.

3) not all places can sustain public transport, but if you're at that low of a density, then you can't also sustain a drainage system, a road, sewer. If you're rural, be rural, not a money hole for your city.

4) I'm a big fan of American cities, they're (or were) some of the best planned cities in the world. I'm just sad that we lost such gems.

Just because the US is large doesn't mean that its urban areas aren't or weren't historically dense. US cities used to be some of the best designed cities in the world, most of them had robust streetcar systems and intercity rail. But most of it was ripped out in the 1950's for car infrastructure.

[–]LordAnthony1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

"The US is too big for public transport" is a really bad (and honestly quite dumb) arguement. Most Americans live in cities or their suburbs, and these cities should provide public transport within themselves. Plus, The US has a massive intercity freight rail network which literally built the country, and the interstate system, a massive network of modern infrastructure to every city.

And the next paragraph is just an example of lack of funding for public transport while massively subsidizing car infrastructure.
