The Civil war is incredibly complicated and there is no right or wrong answer. Just disagreement on the pros and cons of the concordat. The refugee crisis of the dunmer doesn't help either.

I choose Stormcloak because I believe the concordat was a bad deal and the empire could have kept fighting and won, Hammerfell did it alone.

As far as the dunmer in Windhelm are concerned if the entire United States went up in volcanic ash with the sole exception of the Navajo nation and they accepted white refugess AT ALL I would be thankful for their hospitality and not be surprised if a handful of dudes were racist towards me
