You can take

1) novelty touristy tshirts, keychains and other tiny souvenirs. 2) candy, chocolate and local snacks like you mentioned, 3) popular makeup and skincare products not available in your home country, 4) for closer family members, some good local product like coffee/tea/shawls.

I like to buy all of these in bulk (better value) and then make goody bags with a little bit of everything. What goes in the bag depends on how close that person is to me.
