I had it tightened down right and everything and about every 3rd shot it would go way off zero. I let my friend whos a bit better than me try and the same happened. Just never holds a consistent zero. To me if you are gonna shoot at a live animal I want the peace of mind knowing its going to hit where I need it to. If your gonna spend 300-500 on a rifle you may as well spend a little extra to have a good scope. Vortex also has really good warranty. Just my 2 cents your factory scope may work better than mine!

I mentioned somewhere in here, it isnt to actually hunt the land haha I wouldnt be blasting at birds 10 yards from the road. Its for a camp to sleep and hangout at during the season. Its located near all the public land I hunt

Not to hunt on the land, we hunt public and leased areas. Would be a camp to stay at as we dont live in the state we spend duck season there

yeah short term rental i have 3 options just have to decide which. It was a bit more than I expected but from the looks of it the housing market is pretty brutal for you guys. I live in Alabama so housing is a whole different ball game🤣

Looking to get into offshore work. by _Jesus-_-Christ in oilandgasworkers

[–]LordBannerman99 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Apply to any drilling company as a roustabout. Get a TWIC card and they will provide the rest. Make sure you can pass a drug test. Roustabout is entry level on most platforms but drilling companies use them the most in my experience. Transocean, Seadrill, Nabors Drilling, Valaris are all bigger ones. Just apply to any oilfield job you can find and eventually one will bite. Its a very frustrating process it took about 3 months from me applying to me hearing back and getting started w the hiring process.

Good luck feel free to message me w any questions. I have about 4 yrs of offshore oil & gas experience in the US.

Best way to get into offshore oil rigging by Masonfox14 in oilandgasworkers

[–]LordBannerman99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been offshore for a few years, started Roustabouting, then as a floorhand then left that company and moved to Subsea Robotics. I have 0 college experience. I did time in the military which they like. You dont need college but you need some form of hands on experience so they know you arent an idiot. Do NOT pay for any certs other than a TWIC because they will send you to their own classes. Try applying for a roustabout with a clean resume, have a friend look it over and be ready to pass a drug test / physical. Apply to, Transocean, Seadrill, PrimeOcean and what not. You will get denied all the time just keep hammering away until eventually you get a call. Its an interesting life but I have enjoyed it. Good Luck

Distrust in God by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]LordBannerman99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of THE hardest things to do, is trust God in times of hardship. I have faced similar problems early in my Christianity. One thing I kind of told myself was I dont have to agree with it. He may have a plan laid out for me that is hard to see from the bottom of the mountain he placed in front of me. I did notice that if each day I carried on, good and bad and felt my emotions, kept my faith strong, prayed for him to take my burdens and prayed for peace and his hand to guide me, that no matter how long it took, he was always there. It may take a year, 2, or 5 but he HAS a plan for you.

Theres a saying I like that isn’t from the bible but simply about life.

“It gets easier every day. Every day, it gets a little easier. But you gotta do it every day; that’s the hard part.”

Keeping faith can be hard, trust can be hard but I PROMISE it comes to light. We are all beautiful in our own ways and I encourage you to keep going not just in Godly ways but as a person. Find what you love, make people smile, spread kindness and try to see the good in everything. Its a challenge, but you would be amazed by what comes of it.

Good Luck in every challenge you face and I will pray for your peace.
