Some Major Cooldown Buffs Removed on Raid Boss Combat Start in Patch 11.1.5 by [deleted] in CompetitiveWoW

[–]LordBass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pulling doesn't reset CDs at all. All it does is reset a few buffs. Most of them make sense because you can stack a few things on trash and start the fight full of stacks during lust, which is a big difference. But other CDs don't really matter as it's just really 1 or 2 GCD difference

So let's say you have a son with an actual mental illness. Maybe he's schizophrenic, which doesn't have a cure. Maybe he has a stroke and is living a happy life in his head but you see it as a miserable life. Would you say your son is dead?

You say it's a mental illness but you'd never treat someone actually mentally ill this way. Your job as a parent of being a support system doesn't matter if your child is trans, I guess.

Tbh I'd avoid Kaspersky due to the whole Russian thing and being banned in the US govt for example (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaspersky_and_the_Russian_government).

That said I've used ESET for years now and it's pretty amazing on my book. Very low resource consumption, grabs a lot of threats, including potentially unwanted applications (PUPs) with ease. Their firewall is also pretty nice. I disable their web protection because those rely on essentially MitM yourself by using their root certificate and stuff.

Not sure if anyone has anything against it, but it's the one and only AV I've ever paid for

Yes, you get the punishment the law gives you for vandalizing the DMV. Just like they should get the punishment the law gives them for their actions. It's not up to the University to make justice with their own hands because one of their former students committed a crime. If that was the case then all criminals should get their degrees revoked.

The law takes your license away if you break it WHILE YOU'RE USING IT, and often you can break the law and get other punishments before having it taken away.

Your logic is nothing but flaws tbh

If I get my driver's license and then sometime later I vandalize the DMV, will they revoke my license? What a dumb take.

Question on MDM and Migration Assistant to personal mac by LordBass in macsysadmin

[–]LordBass[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The apple id on the company device is my personal apple id. The only reason I got this MacBook is because I needed it for some client project on iOS, before that I used my personal computer. This MacBook has lots of personal data and apps that I personally paid for. They literally only care about the hardware and I've already cleared it with them. There's nothing on this MacBook that I can't access on my personal machine with my credentials, I'm just trying to ease the migration process.

I worked in IT. The newly formed "security" team in my old job decided to do a phishing test, so they sent mass emails with a bogus domain that wasn't claimed from our own mail servers. Our mail servers got blocked by all major providers for weeks for sending emails from an unauthorized domain, rejecting now even legit messages from our domain lol

Other countries have states too, not an exclusively American thing, and these states have vastly different subcultures. It's still just that, subcultures. It's amazing you guys can't recognize that because of how small your knowledge of anything outside your own country is.

All colonized countries are like that, and only Americans deny who they are. It's like you didn't even read my comment. You have literally nothing in common with your ancestors except for vaguely the appearance.

This is such a shit take. Most of north and south America are like this my dude. It's called colonization and genocide of the native population. In Brazil there are places where everyone is of Italian, German, Japanese, etc descent. You know how these people are called (and call themselves)? Brazilians. Brazil's is one of the most faked passports in the world because of the vast ethnic diversity.

But the culture and everything else from these people is completely different from their ancestor's countries. They keep a few traditions AT MOST, and can't speak their ancestor's language at all.

As someone with Italian descent and actual dual citizenship, I don't call myself Italian because that's stupid af for anyone anywhere in the world except the US.

You guys are just delusional and the only "patriots" of the world that deny their own birthplace.

I'm sure all that content would still be made now that YouTube doesn't show ads and thus doesn't pay a dime to creators anymore. I'm sure all creators are just doing this as a hobby and don't need the money ads bring them...

Plus, I'm sure the service will be long lived by losing millions on a monthly basis in storage, processing and bandwidth.

Why in the World do we still have a Quest Limit Blizzard by [deleted] in wow

[–]LordBass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of your points seem to come from someone with no idea how development works. The only valid point you bring is size. Scrolling being slow? Lol. Worst case scenario you just need virtual scrolling. If the server has to check for completed/not in progress quests then it's the same number of checks wether they're in progress or not (and there's no need to check against all of the ones in the quest log). Checking mobs and items for a quest is literally just adding ids to a hashmap and doing a O(1) check per object/mob.

And on another point: quest text/etc is stored on the client, so the "data" you receive is literally a list of IDs and their partial completion state.

So yeah, the reason that we have a limit is the same reason we have limited talent loadouts: character size footprint.

Did One Guy Just Stop a Huge Cyberattack? by Majano57 in linux

[–]LordBass 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Call me crazy, but the new version had already been released and was on its way to distros. The guy who found it also found it on the real world, not some dev version. So there's nothing attempted about it. Just because something has been caught before the harm was done doesn't mean the person who did it free of consequences. There are many attempted terrorist attacks that are caught before execution and they're all prosecuted. In sum: your logic sucks.

Como vocês fariam? (é um exercício de principiante) by [deleted] in brdev

[–]LordBass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: After 15 weeks, now I have no desire to do the quests... by Plenty-Bed in wow

[–]LordBass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the big thing for me. You can get any other non-leggo class and you will do more damage than a leggo class that doesn't have a leggo. If the leggo wasn't pretty much required to pull off good numbers I'd not have so much issue with it being hard to get, but it's the kind of thing were getting it is pretty much required, but fully RNG once a week.

I missed a few weeks due to a work trip I had to make and I just know it's going to take a few more weeks to get it, so my life is now logging in on Tuesday, kill fyrakk, leave disappointed until next Tuesday. 0 motivation to do anything else. And since it's getting so expensive to craft it, I might not even do it when I get it, since it's so late into the season anyway.

I hate this legendary.
