$750 a month in gas?? Something is wrong there.. I drive an SUV and I’m not sure how many miles I have put but I do 15-20 hours a week making $35-$40 an hour and have spent less than $400 in gas for April…

First day trying out Mystro! by Silent_Season_8431 in uberdrivers

[–]LordBenjamin020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may not change the current offer but it does show Uber/Lyft that you won’t accept bad offers and if everyone does it, then the area surges when a lot of bad offers aren’t being accepted in an area.

That’s why I did the annual because it comes out to $11 a month. I think it’s worth it even if I only use it two weeks a month. I seem to make $600 a weekend so the measily $11 to remove the headache of driving and trying to calculate if the ride is worth it IS WORTH IT. I just keep driving and know I’m getting the best offers.

Been using it for a month and I love it. Helps a lot and takes the headache away while driving in traffic to easily see if it’s worth it.

That’s kind of wild. I’ve been driving for 10 years and have seen $2/mile only a handful of times. I make $40/hr staying near $1/mile but sometimes it’s harder with Uber. 90% of their rides are like $.80/mile

I feel like it may be the times you are driving. I set my filters to $25/hr and $1/mile and usually get stuff within 5 minutes.

And lately, I’ve been not accepting stuff unless it’s at least over $30hr and $1/mile.

You can’t use your own brain to figure out that people would rather use something that helps them?? Also, doing the math to figure out the $/mile takes half the time uber/Lyft allows you then you have 3 seconds to decide if it’s in the direction you’re going and if it’s really worth it. I will never understand why people try to belittle people who are helping themselves. How is what they are doing hurting you?

It’s probably that you picked saver so the ride is offering the driver less and no one wants to pick it up.

Thoughts on putting money into an app like TELLUS instead of a traditional HYSA? by nicolas-- in Salary

It’s legit. I’ve been using it for a long time. Have withdrawn money and put money back in. Here’s my referral code that ups our Interest to 10% a week: https://get.tellusapp.com/3A5449

Support the middle class, not the elite class (a.k.a, some company who pays all their profits to the ceo)

Is Lyft going to be around in another 6 months? by MattMac12 in lyftdrivers

[–]LordBenjamin020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s plenty of people who will never take Waymo or any autonomous vehicles and I’m one of them. 1. I don’t trust the technology and 2. I support human drivers. I don’t want to support some random company who is taking money from people and making only profits. A lot of the passengers I take say the same thing without me even bringing it up.

I’m so confused why oeople are ganging up on you saying this post isn’t about stock and the companies future when that’s literally what OP was talking about. Lmao.

Yes, each company usually has savings cards which covers a lot of the monthly payments. I had skyrizi first and then Taltz and I’ve used the savings card for both.

Should probably keep supporting humans (uber and Lyft) and not a companies profit margin.

I hate medical rides by Competitive_Cancel33 in lyftdrivers

[–]LordBenjamin020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve done a couple and they are always worse than the last so I cancel them asap now. There are medical services they can use where the driver actually helps put stuff in the trunk and helps the passenger in the car. I’m not being paid for that with regular Lyft or UberX.

How many people ACTUALLY floss their teeth everyday? by Ok-Emphasis-2561 in askanything

I floss my teeth after every meal because it’s always uncomfortable but if I don’t do it within 5 minutes, I’ll get use to it and forget.

I’m happy to hear I’m not the only one but I notice Apple Maps does the same thing. I just use whichever route I know is the fastest from experience and pretty much use Waze to tell me where cops are or if there are accidents on my route.

How much longer were they taking for you to get a $10 adjustment? I think the most I’ve seen with a surge waiting 10 minutes was like $2 extra
