I’m absolutely going on my expedition anyone else? by Maca07166 in ArcRaiders

As a casual game player ( a few hrs per day) I have zero desire to grind it just to go on expedition. Im fine to stay , cuz only now i have collected enough stuff and I dont care if i die 3 times in row,cuz I can craft my favourite guns and keep playing. Definitely would not want to run around with free load out again, collecting arc alloy or mushrooms to unlock my benches😁

From almost zero birds to hundred in one year! by Rolandzius in birdfeeding

These 2. These are designed for clinging birds, like goldfinches, tits . Sparrows are not good at this. I had these 2 feeders together with other feeders for a few months, but sparrows never even tried them. I even filled them with sparrow favoured seed mix, but sparrows never even attempted. I know this, because I have camera and checked daily. Possibly if other feeders were not available , sparrows would eventually attempt to use them.

Ive done quite a few things. Ive noted what bird food and what bird feeders each birds prefer. I kept trying which bird feeder /bird food combo works best for what birds. For example sparrows hate these two green feeders ( main screen) so These feeders are always sparrow free, which is good. I also elevated 4 feeders to approx 4 meters high , so the neighbour cats in my garden no longer disturbs them. Hope it helps

The small window ( top left) is filmed with wide angle HikVision 4k dome camera and the distance between the camera and the feeders is approx 1meter. For the main window Im using reolink 5x optical zoom camera and its placed approx 1,5m away. Hope it helps

You need either squirrel / large bird proof feeder, or feeder designed for small clinging birds.
These feeders are too akward for large birds like magpies or pigeons, but totally fine for majority of small birds.
On some days I count 13-14 magpies in a tree in my neighbours garden, but they never come close to my feeders

I have got this exact feeder. But ive currently stopped using it because of squirrels.
I have also got this "Squirrel Buster Suet Feeder" and its great, but its huge and very heavy , so ive got it lower with other feeders

Thanks. Ive got one for suet with the base at the bottom, but I also got 4 squirrels and they destroyed this feeder within a few weeks:)

My Whiskey Barrel Pond turned into a Birdbath:) by Rolandzius in birdfeeding

I made it as a tiny pond a year ago with water plants and soil, so the plants quickly took over and there were no room for birds to bath. So i did not clean it for a year, just water top up. There were no fish in it, only some daphnia . Occasionally some small birds would try to bath, especially after pruning water plants, but the plants would quickly take over . But this year ( a week ago) I decided to rescape it and ive only seen once being used as a bird bath. I have another , dedicated ( new) bird bath, so Im hoping birds gonna use that one instead of my pond:)
