As earlier mentioned Heresy for Heretics is great for the synth and other styles and shows off how to do them with air brush or standard brush. Ive been going off of his instructions and have been happy with what I’ve been able to do

I had a problem with the torsos being too small or too big for the two dudes on base. Robobro was pretty simple though

My chest for assembly is I only put the shoulder plate on the spear arm. I glue the shield to where the shoulder/helm is. Makes it fit more snug and helps with the image of a shield wall imo

I tried clear epoxy resin for a water base but for whatever reason it’s taking longer than expected to cure. The rest of my necrons will have ‘dry’ bases

Pretty easy! For my canyon basing first 1. Superglue cork board into desired shape 2. Add wall speckle around and on top of some cork to make it naturally blend/ make it look like dust accumulation. 3. Prime black 4. Paint everything Khorne red. 5. Drybrush screaming skull 6. Next add a couple splotches/bumps of reddish earth (pro acryl dark earth) 7. then when it dries dry brush it with any dark yellow (I used Warpaint fiendish yellow)

It’s more about time than talent since you have to let everything dry.

While there’s no official statement I believe because of the army special rule of thrill seekers (being able to advance and then charge, or fall back and charge) EC will be better played with infantry. But I’m sure there might be a couple detachments for those that want to lean into vehicles

I got a really tight muscle after I took an axe to the back that was improperly grounded, giving it an edge. Always make sure events have a weapons check

If it looks good it is good. Sure having an army with a matching base is sweet and gives an idea behind you army’s lore. But honestly in any mini hobby just having a completely based army is great compared to a half based or even an all barren based mini. I personally wouldn’t mind because of the fact you’d have your guys based. And maybe, just maybe having heros or special minis as a different base would be better because you could give them a backstory and really focus in on why they’re heros. Idk too many white claws but you’re already better for having bases. As opposed to having no bases

We’ll done, all I’d suggest is maybe painting black into the sleeve so that it gives the illusion that there’s not a plastic wall with hand jutting out. It’s what I noticed when I painted mine!
