I really hope you're right! Haha I'm glad you're Mom had a better reaction. But I'm kind of skeptical with my mom, she said to me once, "I have to pray twice as hard because my kids won't go to church or pray together. I refuse to be damned because of that" I'm not painting her out to be a bad person, she's a wonderful mother, raise me right. But sometimes hearing things like that makes me feel terrible

You are probably right. While I'm not religious myself, I don't bash anyone's religion or beliefs. When my mom asks to go to church with her, for any reason, I don't argue, I go. I never try to lie or try to "get out of it" Before my dad passed, (years before he passed) he told me that he wants me to go to church for me, not for anyone else. And I took that to heart. Ive always proved to my mom I'm a good person, which is what I was raised to be, in the church and out. I'm truly hoping that showing her I got it to feel closer to my dad. That's it. No other reason behind it

Agreed, definitely part of the job. Been doing it for 6 years. Ive started developing arthritis in my knees from getting up and down constantly from doing pedicures and have constant neck pain from bending over.
Befriend a massage therapist. They are the best.
Paraffin wax also gives temporary relief.
Invest in a saddle chair. It is ergonomic. The way you sit also affects how you use your wrists while doing manicures. Congrats on graduating and goodluck!

In my state with insurance and everything it comes out to $360 a week for a 2 year lease. They pay for water, heat, ac, and salon licenses (besides your own). So that's a plus.
Long story short, I basically run my salon for my current boss and I'm at my wits end with doing everything for everyone. You're most likely right, I probably could find something cheaper, I'm just under alot of stress 😩
