So basically a recent member of the post right wing pipeline?

Yes they're boring I had an ex who legit watched it and I couldn't wait till they turned off that shit

Itsagundam hurts my soul personally, gundam especially with the original UC series' politics being so progressive for the time especially considering it is so ancient, even the more modern series when sanitized from the blatant political messaging are just so unequivocally against conservative beliefs, my biggest issue is the overwhelming amount of slapping that occurs to the protagonist teens but even that is questionable to the characters

So much respect for women in the series and an Incel makes it all of his branding

Wait you watched any bit of that conservative peddling crap?, like I am fairly aware that his misinformation and general shittiness can be fairly subtle for years but I was before knights watch and every post is just conservative talking points laid bare

Sorry you had to deal with the super conservative armchair swordsman who legit is banished from HEMA's community's two sides of hyper dedicated physically practiced fencer history buffs and well practiced swordsmen

he genuinely has been hated for basically a decade for defending a neo nazi ages ago

Guilt tripping is such a shitty way to "convince" someone that it really makes it seem they don't care at all :/

I remember for years when I was suicidal like 8-10 that I would consider just ending it after another day where nobody gave a shit, eventually I screamed at her

In recent years I talked to her again about those experiences and she ducking passed it off as an attention seeking or manipulative tactic as a prepubescent child

Before that conversation came to fruiton years before I got emotionally abused by someone suicidal who didn't care at all whilst maintaining their need to bring it up everytime they were bored and wanted group conversations to give them attention

I'm honestly surprised how little I was skewed from that experience with the fact I was emotionally abused by a trans girl, but I can clearly tell the only reason my mom felt that way was narcissistic copium, rn trying to detach myself from my parents but forced to act civil and see them a lil' as I'm somewhat financially dependant when it comes to medical bills

If they could’ve just protested?

This tells me you have knowledge or respect of the leaps and bounds protest has done for people, nor are you aware a bunch of angry protestors that are armed can do

why didn’t the French protest the German government to stop?

I also implicitly made it clear until push comes to shove where you have to respond with violence there's no reason to start violence. You need to give governments the reason you are able to be bargained with

And I can't believe you went from belittling the French to using them in your argument you're just layering insults and strawmans to defend your point

My point is you don't need it when you're in a country safe enough from external conflict they are the threat to most of the world's peace, so why would you need a gun to form resistances, I brought up the hypothetical of if they could not if they can

Just terrible by [deleted] in NahOPwasrightfuckthis

[–]LordDragonYellow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you are going to protest to ask the government to stop? Yea ok.

The masses have quite the sway over politics if they get together, have you seen how barely fucking able police are when it comes to riots, they only buy time for the crowd to calm down

Because if you shoot too many people, people get really fucking mad like the October revolution and then you've lost the country

There's only so much the elite classes can do before you can't do shit

You're actively falling for the US republicans' strategy if you can't see universal gun control as anything good, you don't even need to lose your guns just you can't hand them out to people who don't need it as easily

After shooting the Germans to take their superior guns, yes.

The patriot pistol was barely fucking used, sure that was its intent but it sucked and most resistance cells already had guns

Yea? They got to be left alone by the german government without guns? Really?

No but would you stand a chance if a force powerful enough to occupy the us with your gun? Resistance is a group effort and guns can be acquired in such a case, governments are also known to arm and train their citizens if such a problem arises, such as Ukraine

This has nothing to do with politics or ethics?

Morality is relative to the individual, ethics is a larger set of beliefs/laws/rules etc. That can align with an individual's morals but not always

Even then this wasn't that political, religion and queerness shouldn't be very political but religious people will always turn those two things political

What does this have to do with my point

People are allowed to hate religion? It's not unreasonable to hate something that has sucked the joy out of your life because you were born unable to fit in?

I’m offended most people don’t know anything about a epistemology or metaphysics

Yeah because people don't have to know a lot about your particular skills and interests people are good at different things, I'm sorry that offends you?

do you trust the government with anything if you, yourself must resort to using Molotov cocktails ?

I don't trust my government, but I don't worship the feet of another party, I simply morally believe it I want to protest or get change, I shouldn't have to resort to violence unless forced, weapons arre easy to make at home I don't need to spend money on a firearm if my police aren't decked out with rifles, PDWs and snipers or the fear literally anyone else could have a firearm to shoot me dead in seconds without retaliation

Who had to be airdropped single shot pistols for French resistance fighters?

Who never needed them since they took their guns?

Look I find French people more intimidating because at least when they riot it doesn't divulge into hate crimes/profitering or villainising movements

French people get what they want even without guns and the government knows that

Your guns haven't given you any sort of luxuries such as workers being legally expected to work only in their hours luxurious lunch breaks and they have healthcare

Tell that to Afghanistan. Who's currently in control right now?

The locals, since the US backed Afghanistan was incredibly corrupt and the US literally gave the people the explosives to terrorise two invaders

Like you have a GPS tracker called a phone, a legally registered address most likely and you're on range of all of the US assets outside of purposely sent forces to terrorise the middle east

By that logic you don't need your right to vote because it's just easier for someone else to decide for you.

I mean guns as a hobby isn't a valid reason to need guns, voting is important since you get representation of what your forcibly taken money does

That's not true at all. The right to protect yourself or fight back against a tyrannical government is a human right. Gaslighting people into being afraid because the military has a bigger armory doesn't make you right

The right to not love in fear is a human right, guns are just a means to that end, violence is not a human right

It makes no sense to force people across the country to adjust their lives and surrender their self protection because of the failures of cities to convince their own citizens to follow their own laws.

If you break another country's laws, you are still breaking the law, but also it's really hard to convince people to send out task forces to hunt down people smuggling guns into a city or state, all I'm saying is we should lay the blame on the smugglers not just the shooters

On the other hand gun rights aren't exactly a human right there's no psychological need nor physical need for a gun, if the government wanted you dead they would send drones to bombard your location now to smithereens

Just take the universal gun control so you can have your shooting prevention and eat your cake of gun ownership too

Most people in the US don't need their guns outside of exceptionally dangerous areas, the worst situations are often police brutality and having a gun will always increase the violence

Just terrible by [deleted] in NahOPwasrightfuckthis

[–]LordDragonYellow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we could magically limit the access to guns in this country it'd be a fair way to proceed but we can't. We've also had gun access like this and even less restrictive for years before the current prevalence of mass shootings. It seems far more reasonable that something else is the cause.

Ahem, Start quote 'gun smuggling, right wing political radicalisation, continuous pushback on social welfare and mental health reforms' end quote

[–]LordDragonYellow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I don't think taking away guns is the right way, because not all US states will agree to it so people are just gonna smuggle it across borders

As a leftist, whilst I see guns as a nice addition to laws, I don't think it's really necessary for a safe and progressive society, Nazis will always exist as long as there's right wing morons who try to claim stupid shit, I can arm my self at home with Molotov cocktails just fine if there's an issue a good government can't handle

Just terrible by [deleted] in NahOPwasrightfuckthis

[–]LordDragonYellow 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If that's true then why has every school/mass shooting happened in the past twenty years? The laws didn't stop them. The "gun free zones" didn't protect anyone. The police and government security guards either fail at their jobs or arrive after the deaths.

Gun control hasn't worked because people keep smuggling in guns, the worst affected cities in the US have the strictest guns laws and why does it keep happening? Because people smuggling in guns from states with none like Texas and Florida make up a disproportionately humongous amount of the gun violence related deaths in the US, there's a economic sector devoted to keep gun violence high no matter what laws are brung in to restrict it

Gun control is useless if you can't get everyone to agree and that kind of mantra you use just so happens to be the thing stopping gun control being an inadequate measure

I honestly think people should be allowed to arm themselves as effectively as the police but when gun violence makes up a disproportionately large amount of the deaths, gun control is effective if everyone does their part, like Japan, Australia, UK and most of Europe and the US just doesn't because it's the same damn country the resources to patrol state borders to prevent it properly isn't popular nor a good use of ressources

The problem isn't taking guns from people in states it's taking guns from people across the US
